“Off Season review”
We just came back from a week in Tossa De Mar the last week in October. This hotel was a place we were rebooked into when our original booking had closed for the season. We just came back from a week in Tossa De Mar the last week in October. This hotel was a place we were rebooked into when our original booking had closed for the season. I was completely impressed and actually grateful for the change. The hotel is across the street from a supermarket, and next to a small drug store. Close to on street parking which was plentiful at this late time. A cute town, there were still plenty of places open and places to eat. We had the breakfast buffet that was limited, but cheap and quick. This hotel was close enough to walk to everything including up the lighthouse. The most incredible views and a nice (if expensive) cafe at the top where we had Cava Sangria. The room was nice, with a nice balcony overlooking the street. The bathroom had a weird configuration that required you to climb over the toilet and bidet to get to the tub. That was not terribly good for my older parents. Fine if awkward for us. Finally the hotel desk staff was really nice. We had drinks on our balcony and they filled a bucket of ice for us every night, every day they helped us pull out the wheelchair, and at the end they helped us print out our boarding passes. They were really very nice and we appreciated their help. Yes there are closer hotels to the beach. Yes, I’m sure during the height of the season it’s packed. However this hotel is a great option for convenience and a jumping off point for other road trips to other towns.
