I have been to Tossa 16 times. My family started going 23 years ago. Due to the hotel we had been staying at we began to lose our love for the place, until we found the Bahia. From the moment we arrived we encountered welcoming, happy professional staff. Reception were super helpful. Restaurant and bar staff so professional and friendly, animation team were amazing and the cleaners fab. Aircon around the hotel was perfect. When we arrived we only had one pillow each, so we called reception and we each got another within about five minutes. Vending machines and drink stations on each floor was a real bonus. The safe in the room is free and plenty of room, even fitting my laptop in. The fridge was very good too. It was very helpful to have a copy of the entertainment schedule in the room. There is also screens in the bar downstairs and in the lifts that tell you what's going on too. We travelled with TUI and the rep, called Spike, was brilliant. He advised us on where to go in Girona, as we went there for the day, and we had an amazing day. The whole hotel felt immaculate, friendly and a great atmosphere. My wife even came home and started a Facebook group and has over 300 members already. Wi-fi throughout the hotel was very good. Food was of a great quality with a very good choice. A real favourite of mine was the salmon and the smoked cod. My wife, who doesn't eat too much fish, absolutely loved the monkfish too. We stayed half board and felt this perfect for us. We bought lunch in the hotel a few times and it was very tasty and very reasonable. We never had trouble getting a sunbed, made use of all pools and felt we had options of where to go and what to do in the day and the evening. Water stations around the hotel were a huge plus point for us. The entertainment was brilliant and catered for all. Again, choices of where to go in the evening made a big difference. We loved the MIchael Jackson tribute, Violinist who wowed our teenage son by playing an Eminem song and other current songs on an electric violin. There were many other great acts and we loved the animation team show too - my son found parts of it hilarious! Holly was great with the kids and was very friendly and the rest were great too, especially Luis. Hope they are there next season. Rooms a little on the small side, though well-equipped. The only suggestion I would make is to have bedside drawers as there was literally no drawers, which would be good for some things. In the basement area, near the spa, there is a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron/ironing board. Balcony great with table, chairs and drying rack. Fantastic views from our room. The rooftop area is a real plus for the hotel but I feel it should open a little later, at least a couple of nights per week. Background music or DJ and sitting there having a drink with those views early evening would be excellent. The hotel is very central and we really enjoyed this aspect. There are a couple of supermarkets literally at the end of the road the hotel is on. We fell back in love with Tossa all over again. It is an amazing town which has retained its Spanish charm. I especially love the atmosphere down there in the evening. We booked for next year as soon as we got home, and this time we will come with our two older children too, daughter in law, grandchildren and my Mother in law. Four generations ranging from 6mths to 76 years old. I cannot wait! Thank you all at Bahia for a fantastic stay and for helping us enjoy Tossa de Mar again.

“Beautiful Tossa!”

After previously staying in the Golden Port in Salou, we thought we would try another hotel in the Golden chain. The Golden Bahia is a lovely hotel too. The main areas, rooms and restaurant have recently been refurbished and look great. The entertainment room with the stage is still like a labour club though! The food was fantastic with a great choice and service from all members of staff is wonderful too. I would have like the option of a larger family room but the hotel does not have this. The pools are nice and as we visited in May, the hotel was not full and vacant sunbeds were plentiful. There are a lot of them though and the area does feel cramped. The children’s pirate ship pool is wedged in to a corner with no sunbeds directly facing it so it is difficult to supervise children here. The water was cold in May too, with 1 packed out heated jacuzzi. My husband and I tried to access the adults only rooftop pool but our key cards would not work (maybe because we had booked as a family?) and it was a long trek to reception to query this so we didn’t bother. The town of Tossa de Mar is beautiful. The castle is lovely and visit there a nice way to spend time. We also snorkelled in the sea (shingle so great for fish but not safe for small children as it is deep right by the beach). There are also lots of good shops and a nice market on one day of the week.

“Great location”

Great all inclusive hotel for families & couples. There’s an adults only rooftop pool / sunbathing terrace which we used every day. There’s rooms were adequate & functional. The pool bar / cafe needed more staff. The buffet restaurant was large & well catered.
