On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.

Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

The service is very pleasant and the restaurant is family friendly. Jordi, the Patron, recognised us, although it is 4 years since our last visit to this wonderful village where we have had many happy family holidays over a period of 30+ years. It is well worthwhile searching out this gem, only a minute's walk from the seafront. Yes, you sacrifice the view that can be had from the restaurants on the front but the quality and value make up for it. Incidentally, they also serve great pizzas.

We stayed here with our twin 6 year olds in July 2014 (so two adults and two children). Quite comfortable room and beds, friendly owner, great continental breakfast, 20 meters from the beach. Downsides were the street noise - but that's Spain - the restaurant seemed to have similar prices to the beachfront restaurants, and it was a little expensive for what was offered (although it is almost beachfront). Tamariu itself was wonderful. Full of tourists, but very small, great walks, good restaurants (except for the bloody smokers), nice beach. Would we go back - yeah, absolutely!
