I spent 4 days in this hotel that comprises the Catalan Masia experience and rooms in small modern townhouses. I stayed in one the the later and the room was spacious, quiet, comfortable, and with a key feature to me that was the access to the garden from the cristal sliding doors. This place is for nature lovers since it is located among vineyards and a lot of nature. I particularly enjoyed having breakfast outside on the open air and with views in the early morning towards the vineyards. The location is excellent in order to explore la Costa Brava cause it is located in the middle so you can explore Costa Brava from an equidistant point. I rented a car and I suggest doing so to stay there and maximise your stay. If you like trekking, cycling and are a beach goer, then Ses Arrels has an outstanding location for all these activities. From there you have access to a main cycling and trekking route called GR92, there is also a natural reservoir very close to the hotel and just across the road you can access the extraordinary "Platja del Castell" were you can enjoy the beach, trekking, Iberian ruins, beautiful sunsets and lovely "calas" and views. And the cherry on the top was the friendliness, courtesy and kindness of their staff, who made my stay with their great tips and knowledge of the area.

I have stayed with my family in this hotel for a week in July 2015. The summer was terribly hot and there was lots of bugs and ants outside. The hotel as you read is divided into two parts. The main building is an old renovated house with couple of rooms, the reception, the restaurant and also two completely useless meeting rooms. The other building looks like a separate extension and includes 10 rooms. The hotel has a very nice swimming pool and good restaurant. Parking and wifi is for free. As you read in other reviews the hotel is located in the middle of a beautiful landscape. Far from the noisy towns by the sea side. So if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, that`s your place.

“Poor Services - Great Place”

Great peaceful old manor Bathroom smelling really bad due to some problems on the sanitary system. TV screen looks 20 years old, maybe 16” size, also unacceptable. We did not get shower gel (even asking). Absolutely unacceptable in a 4stars hotel. Frequent traveler does no carry his own shower gel. Poor & unprofessional service. Poor breakfast far from european standards for a 4star. Building is magnificent and the site really calm.
