“Great family holiday !”
We stayed at the Gran Garbi Mar from 29th May for a week. 5 Adults and 4 kids. All inclusive. The rooms were basic but clean. We stayed at the Gran Garbi Mar from 29th May for a week. 5 Adults and 4 kids. All inclusive. The rooms were basic but clean. Continental breakfast is available in this hotel or you can walk across the road to the sister hotel for a hot breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner are also served at the sister hotel. The food was really nice, loads of choice even for the fussy eaters and even gluten free was advertised on the relevant dishes. The aquapark opened on the 1st June and was really good for all ages. The lifeguards were so friendly and even participated in a few races with the kids down the slides. The drinks on all inclusive were basic at this pool compared to the pool at the sister hotel. We always managed to get a sunbed but I could imagine in the summer holidays that it would be more difficult. The beach was a 5 minute walk away and there were local shops opposite the Gran Garbi hotel. The entertainment which was ran by Sergio was really good fun, he got everyone involved in the games round the pool and even the aqua aerobics. He made sure to remember everyone’s names and you could tell he really enjoyed getting to know the guests and making them feel welcome.

“Great location, food is a let down”
The staff are lovely, helpful except the staff at the pool snack bar. Reception staff very helpful, happy and easy to chat to. Cleaning maids are lovely too. Gran Garbi Mar Rooms were comfortable with a fridge, TV, hairdryer, bath with shower, cleaned daily with fresh towels. Plenty of wardrobe … more
The staff are lovely, helpful except the staff at the pool snack bar. Reception staff very helpful, happy and easy to chat to. Cleaning maids are lovely too. Gran Garbi Mar Rooms were comfortable with a fridge, TV, hairdryer, bath with shower, cleaned daily with fresh towels. Plenty of wardrobe space. Splash park open 10am til 6pm, pool open til 7pm. Notices state do not reserve sunbeds however there were people doing this. It wasn't too bad, I was able to put a towel down in a spot that got the sun all day (next to the steps closest to the entrance) at 0830. There is a smaller option for breakfast served here however for a more variety you eat at the sister hotel Gran Garbi Hotel which is just down the short hill via a side entrance. This is where lunch and dinner is served as well and where your all inclusive drinks are available til 11pm as only til 6pm in Gran Garbi Mar from the snack pool bar. The food is average, I wouldn't say it is 4 star quality. We would have preferred breakfast only or half board at best if I had known. The snack bar at the splash park isn't very good for all inclusive guests. It states on the all inclusive information provided 2 choice of alcohol, sangria and beer, soft drinks and the small slushes which are different to the slushes you can pay for. Icecreams available. The food is prepacked microwave burgers and hotdogs, the bread was stale sometimes, ready salted crisps only. It does state pizza and peanuts however these were not available, apparently peanuts have been previously found in the pool and this caused damage and the people in the snack bar couldn't be bothered to cook pizza for the all inclusive guests that have paid for and should have been given as an option as per the information on all inclusive snack bar choices. The man kept saying no pizza even though there were people with pizza but it was the pizza you pay for (€6.50) He said no pizza every day that we were there. Reception staff said they should be serving pizza and if run out of the all inclusive pizza which isn't the same and served in slices they should be using the other pizza and cutting it into slices. This was a let down because the burgers and hotdogs weren't very nice. Entertainment at the SplashPark was a guy that came for maybe 45 mins and got everyone in the pool to do a warm up and a dance, this was fun. The slides are very fun and there are a good few life guards on duty. The hotel is a great location, near shops, restaurants and the beach. However I wouldnt stay at this hotel again purely based on the quality of food provided at lunch, dinner and snack bar.
