Very good hotel with good food and clean rooms and grounds. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Our one gripe though was with the air con in the room. It was set at 23 degrees and wouldn’t go any lower. Waking up sweating in the middle of the night is not great but apart from that the hotel itself is in a good location for the beaches and surrounding cafes/bars and restaurants.

“Great location”

Very nice hotel, little bit dated in places but the rooms are modern, food is simply gorgeous, great location from airport only a 30 minute drive. Very nice hotel, little bit dated in places but the rooms are modern, food is simply gorgeous, great location from airport only a 30 minute drive. If you get a transfer the coach will drop you to the bus coach park which is a good 10-15 minute walk to the hotel so if you have cases it’s not ideal as on the way back it’s uphill. Aircon isn’t great but pleasant as it’s not fridge like, it also only works when the balcony door is completely shut which is great when your in the room but be careful if you go on the balcony and close the door fully behind you as there are no handles to open the door again (we got locked out on our balcony but luckily had a phone with us and called reception and they came straight away) the staff are also friendly and helpful. The only cons would be there’s not a full length mirror in the room, there is a large mirror in the bathroom but can only see your outfit from waist up. It does also appear to attract a lot of young customers so it can be loud in places. There is also no hotel entertainment so if you want to go out there’s plenty of bars etc a short walk away.

We stayed here as part of a trip to the Spanish Grand Prix. Lloret De Mar itself was perfectly pleasant with lots of choice for bars and restaurants. It has a party culture at night, but it didn’t bother us. The hotel room was nice enough, but very humid and hot. The AC doesn’t turn on unless it reaches a threshold, and my wife and I both have health conditions that mean we run hot. We begged and pleaded with the staff, who were nice, but they said there was nothing they could do. It was all controlled centrally and set high for environmental reasons. If your hotel advertises air conditioning, I think I should be able to condition the air to my liking. Making guests uncomfortable in the name of saving the planet rings a little hollow when the place is full of singe-use plastic, for example. Because of this we had to have the window open most of the time, and it was very noisy with people, sirens, bins being emptied etc. The room was a little tired round the edges but nice enough. We ate dinner once and breakfast a few times, the offering was pretty limited and basic. The service for non-inclusive guests was a bit weird and standoffish. It took a long time for us to be offered drinks. The hotel does have paid parking, though the underground garage is incredibly tight. The parking needs to be better signposted, as we had to abandon our car in the road to go in and ask where it was. The streets are narrow with next to no on street parking. We used the spa facilities which were lovely. Pigeons would drink from the pool which wasn’t ideal, and some of the loungers are difficult to walk past without falling in the pool as it’s quite cramped. All in all a reasonable place to lay your head but not a great experience.

“Hidden gem, clean but overrun with teenagers”

Transfer from the airport was longer than expected and took 3 hrs not the 1.5hrs we were told. The coach also can’t reach the hotel because of the road sizes but it wasn’t far to walk. The hotel was lovely and clean. We had a free room upgrade on arrival which was great and unexpected. The food was nice with lots of variety. All inclusive is between 11am and 11pm and we were told the pool bar was open 24/7 which wasn’t true. Last orders were called at 1045 and the lights were switched off at 11pm. There is no entertainment and whilst we were there it was overrun with 50 German teenagers who were loud and played their music around the pool. They also took over the pool and terrace area so sunbathing in peace was not possible. Anyone with mobility issues I would not recommend to come here but if you want clean, cheap and cheerful this hidden gem would fit the bill.
