“Beautiful place”
Wonderful surroundings, freindly staff and nice pool. Very much a hit for families with children. We will come back for sure. Could be perfect with aircondition though and a restaurant that is NOT closed by night.

Beautiful and quiet location with some wonderful beaches close by. Close to the ‘party town’ Lloret del Mar but if like us, it’s far enough away you never need to visit! Apartment very clean and well maintained and the ‘A’ apartment had an amazing sea view. Check-in let it down for us. We didn’t come by car so walked a long way with our food shopping and bags. When we arrived we were asked to prove payment (we had prepaid via Expedia) and they asked for us to send via email a payment receipt which was hard to do with little mobile internet - they wouldn’t accept the booking confirmation email showing payment. They had our booking and details already. It felt like we should be grateful to be there not the other way around. We were given a WIFI code, but only for one device each and it had an expiry of three days which required another request for a new passcode from reception each time. When we got to the apartment, we found the safe was an extra charge of €4 per day to store valuables - The safe was there but you couldn’t access it without paying extra. This was the same for the coffee machine, if you want that in the kitchen it was €3.50 per day extra with 10 coffee pods if you order for a min amount of days - it would have felt better if they charged a higher amount for coffee pods and left the machine in the apartment. We felt a little cheated to pay these as it was not a cheap apartment. The bed was quite uncomfortable and with very flat pillows. We found out there were better pillows but at an extra charge. The bathroom was small but had everything required for two, including a bath with overhead shower. The kitchen contained a microwave that acted as a grill too (but no instructions) an electric hob, fridge and freezer and a good array of utensils. There is no air conditioning, but we stayed in august in around 30 degree heat each day and didn’t find it too bad as there was a constant sea breeze due to the location. I would imagine it would get quite hot with no wind. It had everything we needed looking past these features. There was a easy private access down the hill to the small beach near the Albamar restaurant. The beaches as always quite crowded and we found the next beach along to be less so. The beach restaurant also belongs to the hotel which we would have liked to have visited for an evening meal or drink as sunset but it closes at 5pm. The really annoying thing is the access and walking. The apartments are on a hill overlooking the beach and bay. But to get to there next beach or to the town and shops it’s a walk down hill and then back up the steep long drive of about 10 mins in a lot of heat. Annoyingly next to the apartment entrance there is a gate that seems to be used by staff that cuts out this 10 walk and uphill trek. If that was available to those without a car, your 20/30min walk to the shop or next beach would be halved and not as painful. We are both fit 20-somethings and found it a lot of up and down hill walking to get everywhere in the heat, this entrance would have made our lives so much easier. You therefore really need a car to enjoy this place properly. Our neighbours seemed to be a lot of French families, but rude ones. You can hear noise of chairs and tables being dragged above that woke us up early and also loud chatter and music late into the night. They were the kind of people who wouldn’t say hi if they passed you or thanks if you held the door open which was a shame but wasn’t every night thankfully. We did enjoy our visit, and found it a relaxing time after we did our treks to the shops and up and down hills etc - We were exhausted every night. There was no details about check out in the apartment or what to do with rubbish but we had a note under the door reminding us we had to check out by 10am highlighted on our last evening.

We booked this holiday through love Holidays. If you are doing similar, be aware that the transfer company they use is appalling. We had a two hour wait for enough other people to land before we could board the coach. Almost, as luck would have it, because we were arriving so late, we had to pick up our key from the Albamars' sister block in Lloret then get a taxi to the Albamar. This turned out to be a good thing, as the coach would have dropped us off at the Supermarket 30 minutes walk away uphill with no map or instructions. The apartments themselves are pretty good. We went as a couple, and the one bedroom apartment has everything you could need. However it would have been nice at 10.30 at night if someone had been there to show us to the apartment up several flights of exterior steps in poor lighting. The bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space and two singles pushed together and called a double. The lounge has a sofa, dining table and chairs and the kitchen, though compact was well equipped for our needs. There is a TV in the lounge if required. The balcony ran the length of both rooms, so was nice and spacious, but if your neighbours are out as well and have loud voices, the noise does travel. The views over to the beach were stunning, with 2 independent cafes on the beach as well as the daytime only restaurant that belongs to the Albamar which closed three days into our holiday in mid September. The pool was lovely. could do with a little re tiling, and having to get and return heavy sun loungers onto the pile is a bit annoying, but it is worth it as it was lovely and peaceful with few people using it however, other peoples children can have little regard for you when they are jumping in and drenching you! We noticed that we were the only two English staying, there were mainly French, Dutch and Eastern Europeans. The apartments are set in their own pine forest and it is lovely and quiet and quite private, but everything is uphill or downhill, including the walk to the beach. We did not hire a care, so walked everywhere, the nearest supermarket is a good 20 minutes downhill and 30 minutes with food and water returning uphill. Reception does provide croissants and bread for the following morning provided you order by 5pm, but other than that, they provide very little for their guests. We felt they could have at least sold large bottles of water or had a vending machine for guests. The launderette in the grounds has opening times, but is not for guests to use, however the Dias supermarket does have two machines and a tumble dryer in the car park. The way in and out of the grounds is along a rough track, with quite a slope into the grounds themselves. Very annoyingly there is an electric gate for staff only which is accessible and visible from the apartments, but guests are not allowed to use it. This added about a kilometre onto the walk having to use the rough driveway. Overall much as the place was lovely and Maree on reception was friendly and helpful, he management of the apartments was just not guest friendly. The two nearest places for dinners are either a pizza place on the main road – if at night, take a torch. We had lunch there one day and it was lovely, went there one evening to find it inexplicably closed, which was incredibly annoying as I had checked it on google, and there is no where else nearby. The other place is Fennels beach with several bars and restaurants and this is a really nice resort. In fact we only went into Lloret a couple of times sticking to Fennels beach in the evenings as the walk was easier and it was a lot more compact. There were a lot of mosquitoes about, but although they bit, they were not itchy bites, just annoying. Overall a beautiful quiet place but would recommend a car.

The apartments are well equipped and comfortable, but it is the location that is outstanding. The apartments are set in beautiful, wooded grounds that are immaculately maintained and so peaceful. The stunning beach of Santa Cristina is a short stroll through the grounds, but quite a steep climb back up. There is a lovely view of the sea from the infinity swimming pool. The reception will provide beach towels free of charge which is an excellent service. You need a car when staying here as it is quite a way out of the resort. The kitchen is well equipped with a fridge freezer, 2 ring hob and combi microwave oven. Fresh bread and croissants can be ordered from reception daily. The staff are helpful and friendly and there are numbered car parking spaces. This is an ideal place for a relaxing, get away from it all holiday.
