“Easter Break with the family”

We stayed here in April for 7 nights. There was 7 of us and we had 2 rooms. The receptionists and staff were very friendly and were very straightforward getting us checked in. We had our suitcases in the luggage room until our room was ready The rooms were good and perfect nothing wrong with them at all. The food was alright but was a bit cold at times and felt like there wasn’t enough options at times but I am a bit of a fussy eater. The pool was cold but the hotel had just opened and the weather was about 19°C when we first got there so it will be hotter in the summer months. I felt like the entertainment was repetitive and we was there for 7 nights. Overall, i felt like the hotel had improved since I stayed there in October 2022 as I felt it was really bad then. I would give it a 5 star if the entertainment was better quality. I would recommend this hotel to families with younger children

I stayed here with my wife and 3 kids ages 4, 2 and 11 months. We did Ultra all inclusive without a premium lodge. Rooms 9/10. We had a separate bedroom, the showers etc were good and the outdoor area was comfortable. No complaints at all on the rooms, especially as they placed my parents who booked separately next door to us. Food 6/10. All dinners are no earlier than 19:00, which is an hour too late for young families. Main buffet was decent, great dessert selection, salads were good and there was enough variety to last our 10 days. 7/10 Italian restaurant was pasta or pizza with limited options. Pizzas were very cheese heavy. 6/10. Friar Tuck Grill was the worst of them all.. didn’t even order any food, you just get given a plate full of meat with two boiled potatoes. The meat was the same as in the buffet and was cheap cuts with lots of fat. 4/10. Rice restaurant was only available for lunch and is basically paella. The rice was undercooked and slightly crunchy. We felt very rushed in there and they served this in the buffet regularly anyway. 5/10. Robin Hood Cafe is only lunch as well and served ribs and burgers which were good quality. 8/10 Generally the restaurants are just pretending to be restaurants in my opinion so they can label it on their website, and are nowhere near the quality you might be expecting. Pool 6/10. They don’t open til 10am with a massive queue, which tells you that’s too late. Not enough areas for a crawling baby/infant to use, in fact hardly anything at all. The main pool itself is over 2m in 95% of the pool area, meaning it doesn’t let you swim with kids who are learning. The splash pad is so powerful that no young kids can play in it at all without getting drenched and knocked sideways. Looks good on a photo but unusable which was a real disappointment. The slides are great and genuinely worth going on as the queues are no longer than 5 mins. Services and Entertainment 6/10. The 1€ cups are not an issue and don’t let that bother you. You can hire towels for a deposit and you get it all back at the end for 15€ per towel. You can use the spa for free with UAI and that was really good with a sauna, steam and a pool with jets. The entertainment is on far too late at 22:00 or 22:30. Anyone with young kids like us end up not being able to go. We did manage the Michael Jackson one, which was decent but a little corny. There’s a shuttle bus that takes you to linked hotels. A couple of them are by the beach so we did that, not realising that the return journey was 2hrs long even though the first leg was 15 mins. Really poor and never seen that before in my life. We had to get a taxi and we had 3 kids so had to do the journey with no child seats as a result. There was a distinct lack of English spoken amongst the staff, and not a single person asked how we were or was friendly towards us. The princess’s and knights show was a huge disappointment as well. No clear info on the app about what the show entails didn’t help, but it was just watching other people’s children play medieval style games in the arena. Cleanliness 6/10. Our rooms were cleaned generally every day. The one exception which I found very odd was the children’s bunk beds weren’t made or cleaned once in 10 nights. The soap dispenser in the men’s didn’t work once either.. I had to use the disabled toilets to wash my hands. All the urinals weren’t working in the pool toilets the whole trip. This hotel in my opinion is 3.5 star and let down by some simple things. Open the pool earlier, clean all the beds, either improve the restaurants or remove them, make entertainment earlier.. Employ some people with who make you feel valued as an English visitor.

First family holiday in a long time.booked with Jet 2 which made the check in very easy as I only met one receptionist who.spoke English. Staff in general where not overly pleasant which was such a shame as that makes such a difference. On check out I went into reception and said I was checking out and she held up her and I held up.mine and she proceeding to.cut off the wrist bands of.me and the family whilst not saying a word. No how was your stay etc. Any hotel I've been to before you get to know the animation team from being around. I didn't here. The night time.entertainmemt was good. The resort itself was very run down. Paint peeling off walls, plastic garden lodge furniture broken and items of furniture missing (sun loungers) Cabins were very clean and suffice for what we needed. Had to request bed set for sofa bed as there wasn't anything for my daughter to make her bed up with I paid a lot of money for our stay and honestly the all inclusive part was why. The restaurant serves a lot of people and they have a wide variety, unfortunately it's pretty standard to what you might expect. None of us ate for the last 3days. The menu was different but the quality and taste was the same. They have fruit which was good until my partner picked up a pear and flys had nested in the underside of it and flew out everywhere. He didn't go near the fruit again. It just made me wonder how long it had been sitting. Its a good bit outside of benidorm itself which means taxi in an d out.with a family of 5 isn't very doable every day. All in all, I'd hoped for better, we made the best of it but we've all agreed to.try somewhere else.
