This really is an excellent hotel. The location is excellent, close to two great sandy beaches and also the marina with excellent fish restaurants and a small cove which is excellent for snorkelling. Our room was spacious, cleaned daily and very comfortable. A lovely big balcony which was ideal for reading a book and relaxing. The restaurant was great with a really good choice of dishes and the grill where the chef would cook to order. The bar areas and the pool excellent too. I’m perplexed at reading some previous reviews and do wonder how anyone can give less than a four star review. A particular mention must go to the hotel staff. Whichever part of the hotel you encounter them they are very hard working, polite, friendly, chatty, professional, caring and really do look after you. There was a good mix of Spanish, German, Irish and British guests when we went, and all mixing well too. Calpe is a lovely resort and we will certainly be returning. I thoroughly recommend the RH Ifach hotel.

“Lovely hotel”

We stayed for 11 nights All Inclusive. We got given a lovely room on the 9th floor, room 911. It had lovely views of the salt lakes and partial sea views in between high rise apartments. It had a very large balcony and we got the pool side view we asked for which has afternoon sun. The rooms were good and the hotel is well designed to keep noise down when you are sleeping as all the rooms branch off as soon as you get out the hotel lift so you do not hear noisy people walking past. There is also an internal door which you can shut to keep any noise down. We never heard any noisy guests. The bar was good and there were hardly any queues. You could have bottled beer if you wanted or draft. Coca-Cola was out of bottles. You can have a packet of Doritos or other crisps, olives, snacks from the bar. The service was good. We had previously stayed in their sister hotel RH Royal in Benidorm so we knew this was going to be a good hotel and the reviews were all mainly good. The evening entertainment was held in the lobbly/bar area. You couldn't see a lot as the pillars were blocking your view. It was mainly cheap level entertainment anyway. Calpe is 1/2 hour from Benidorm. I went on the bus for the day back to Benidorm, after first getting the local bus to the bus station. It was a good job I had been to Benidorm as the bus drops you off in a back street bus depot and you don't know where you are. I preferred Benidorm as that has loads of shops and has more of buzz about the place. My husband liked the quietness of Calpe. This hotel is on the outskirts of Calpe opposite the salt lakes, the town centre was a long walk if you went the sea front way. Overall it is a good hotel which could be even better if the hotel became adults only. Crying kids in the restaurant was ruining my meal times and smoking should be banned on the terrace, occasional passive smoking was very irritating. Also the air conditioning in the lobby area could be a bit blowy at times, we had to move seats if you sat where the air conditioning was facing. Also it was lovely to see plants being grown in front of everyone's balcony. I do enjoy plants.

The hotel makes the best of the footprint it has surrounded by Edificios. It faces E - W so sun in the morning for one side of balconies and afternoon for the other. The higher floors have views of the sea and Salinas the other the sea and Ifach. We were in 504 and had an apartment block and the rock (Ifach) view. There are two main beaches and 3 smaller ones by the Harbour all a short walk. Our room a superior was large with a super king bed good size bathroom, settee, chair and coffee table. Water was hot with shower over the bath, sink, loo and bidet A little tired but clean. The bar/reception/entertainment area is open plan and clinical rather than cosy It is under the triangular glass feature. Acoustics were poor for the regular night entertainment. Meals are served on E floor between 0 and 1. Good choice plenty of cold meats, cheese salad items. Varied choice of hot meals with a griddle doing small pieces of meat or fish. Quality a bit canteen-y I found something I was happy with most nights. I enjoyed the house wine with my dinner. Pool area had enough sunbeds, the pool was cold, the indoor one warm. We hadn't overpacked and found the small laundry handy. 2 m/c and a tumble drier E-7.
