Location fabulous! Friendly staff Breakfast wonderful so much choice and all fresh. Lovely stay! Easy to see why people return. Great views we ate in restaurant downstairs and the food was great and exceptional value for money. Easy to walk the short distance to lovely sandy beach. Lots of activities in the harbour and good access to boat trips along with other beach activities. A great range of shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Small train stops directly opposite hotel that takes you up Into old town with more fab restaurants and shops. We stayed with family but the hotel would also be suitable for single travellers and families alike. There is a small quiet reading area. There is also a small roof terrace pool. We did not actually use the facilities of the pool but I feel this was more to do with the fact that our extended family had organised more events for us and there was little time to fit in. It is easy access to walk up the ‘Rock’ where you to be feeling somewhat energetic!! Here you will find a variety of interesting flora and fawna and seabirds making their nests!! You can stop at the visitors centre and read all about the history of Calpe with the development from a tiny fishing village to the bustling port it is today.

This is an excellent hotel. Not only is it very good value, it is also clean and well maintained with nice staff and a brilliant breakfast. This is an excellent hotel. Not only is it very good value, it is also clean and well maintained with nice staff and a brilliant breakfast. The location is great as you are right by the port and Calpe Rock. You can also walk into town quite easily. The bedrooms are decent sized and some have balconies. The mattresses are a little hard for me, but it's not really an issue. The en-suite bathrooms have a large shower. The basins are a little odd but they function fine. It's a three star hotel so I don't expect supreme luxury, but what I get here is a nice clean room with a decent view and a great location at a quite frankly brilliant price. I have stayed here twice now, and I will always use the Hotel Porto whenever I am visiting my parents in Calpe. Highly recommended.

Stayed 6 days Nov to Dec. Stayed in one of the best rooms and most expensive and found the room to be excellent, bed massive and very comfortable room well equipped with free safe , coffee machine and large tv. Unfortunately only had German channels for first few days but then English channels appeared. Bathroom very good powerful shower and large modern bath. Furnishings in bath room excellent. Only issue with room was the view. The view to the harbour and sea was poor due to bushes on the terrace that had been added to give privacy to the room as the terrace overlapped a public area. This spoilt my whole reason for paying extra for a superior room. However, I requested a room change to the room above and this was granted. The view from this room was stunning. However, it was a smaller room and cheaper therefore I had payed more than I should have (Manager if you read this a small refund would be nice). I only had breakfast on my stay but it was very nice, except,for the sausages, they where tasteless catering sausages. However the rest of the breakfast more than made up for that. Staff where effecient but very quiet, there was very little communication from them However the reception were fine and friendly. The hotel is attached to a restaurant that caters for the evening meals. This was ok but shuts at 2300 hrs. One night they just came and put the bill in front of me and said the managers said were closing and that was that. The area were the hotel is, becomes very quiet quite early, I think there was entertainment one night but I missed it. The old town is about 1 mile away here you will find many restaurants and pubs. Beach harbour and fish restaurants minutes away. Would I stay again ? Yes but probably go in season next time, but it would have to be a harbour facing room and not side view and definitely not the first room I stayed in. By the way manager, to fix the poor view from room 113, just extend its terrace by swinging the bushes 90'. Yes you will lose a bit of public room but 113 would be great.
