Loved the old place, food good, room comfortable, location great, staff superb in foyer and bars in restaurant they were working too hard but got an occasional smile. The place has a few faults for being old, but so do we I am old and tired but try my best, so does this hotel it reminds me of an Old Ship, it still runs well but some doors catch and the odd thing needs repair, its dated but not worn out. We liked it so much we are coming back in February for a month and cannot wait. Feliz Navidad Esmeralda, bueno Anos Nuevo.

We stayed here for 1 week and was surprised for a 3 star how good and clean it was, well done to the cleaning staff. Yes our room was a bit tired but was good. Good location for the beach but it was cold when we stayed in December 2024, it's a shame the pool was not heated as we had some sun for a few hours a day but the pool was freezing. The food choice was fairly good but a lot of fish which i don't like but it was very tasty when meat dishes were layed on. It was surprisingly hot compared to some hotels we have stayed at. Not much desert choice as it was all mouse and hardly any cake just 1 choice if you were lucky. Breakfast was ok some morning English sausage and bacon then the next none so you had to eat the Spanish reformed smoked bacon and 1 choice of pastry. The hotel was spotlessly clean and our room was to which smelt lovely when the cleaner had been it which is top marks to the cleaning staff. Reception were great and friendly when we arrived i just wish when you checkout they would ask if you enjoyed your stay instead of just handing your key card over. A lot of hotels do this and find it very impersonal, The food was on too late for us 7:30 pm and the entertainment was 9:30 pm so buy the time you had eaten your were to full to drink more and watch the entertainment which from the sound was all in Spanish anyway so we went back to our room. It was a good Hotel but tired rooms and would go back but find Calpe to quiet for us as not much happening at night time.

“A relaxing break”

I have been here for a week now and am thoroughly enjoying the stay. The room is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is tasty with plenty of choice. Calpe is a good place to stay for nature lovers; the Penal d’ifac and Las Salinas are full of natural beauty and interest. The coastline is stunning… more

I have been here for a week now and am thoroughly enjoying the stay. The room is comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is tasty with plenty of choice. Calpe is a good place to stay for nature lovers; the Penal d’ifac and Las Salinas are full of natural beauty and interest. The coastline is stunning. I would return to this hotel. The only negative point is the lack of consideration by other guests, talking and coughing loudly and smoking on adjacent balconies ruins the ambience ( no fault of the hotel though).

Hotel is in an excellent locations - ideal for promenade & restaurants. Bus stop just outside for travel to tram station. We were b&b. Breakfast food was fine - just what you would expect, nothing special. The dining room was a depressing place - old & tired. Staff not particularly welcoming. The other public areas were good - nice bar & reception area. Bedroom like the dining room - badly in need of a refurb. The bedsheet was torn. Glass tables a hazard. Hotel very clean & cleaning staff friendly & hard working. The indoor pool was lovely but just make sure it is open to residents before getting changed as it gets used for swimming classes.
