Was moved to this hotel as it’s sister one the Suitopia was unavailable and so glad we were. Staff friendly on arrival and explained how things worked. Room was really really good. Long balcony, loads of wardrobe space, 2 bedrooms, 2bathrooms, separate kitchen with everything you need (even a kettle which you don’t often get in Spanish hotels). Nice dining room as well. Right in the middle of Calpe but no noise at all. Got a fruit platter and bottle of cava sent to our room as well as it was almost out 1st wedding anniversary. Would definitely come back here, shame it’s adults only or would bring family

This time we rented a 3 bedroom apartment, partially overlooking the sea. The apartment was very clean and spacious, I love Sol Y Mar, all the staff are friendly and very helpful, especially Brice on reception, what a nice young man, his English was very good. I also need to mention the Manager Miguel, he is just so nice and helpful with any problems. We love the area, the hotel being right on the beach, it’s nice for a morning stroll along the shore, being in an apartment you can use all the facilities of the hotel except breakfast, unless you pay for it. Since last we were there in May , they’ve put loads of beanbags near the pool, those were very popular, we were there for a month, and not once did I see anybody not having a sunned. They provide sunscreen and after sun cream, so no need to bring any.. As I said the apartment is very spacious, the kitchen is well equipped with pots and pans tableware, etc . But there is nothing else provided. So all food or drink , you need to purchase that yourself as well as toiletpaper. There is a shop below the hotel where you can purchase everything, it all depends how long you stay for. Sheets and towels are provided once every week, you have to make up your own bed, and clean the apartment. Unless you are prepared to pay for the maid to do everything, not sure but I think it was 70 euro, depending on how many bedrooms .. We’re looking forward to next year when we’re going to spend more time there

“Going Solo”

This was my second visit, but it was the first time I have travelled alone. I had 2 wonderful weeks in the apartment within the hotel. It is spacious, clean and very well equipped, full size fridge and freezer, dishwasher, microwave, full oven with hob and a washing machine. A good sized balcony with a view of the beach. The facilities at the hotel are excellent, especially the swimming pool, with beach towels provided free which can be changed every day if wished. The entertainment was varied and a pleasant end to the evening. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. I will definately be returning to this wonderful place again.

“11 Weeks in Calp at the Solymar”

This is my fifth stay in the Solymar Apartments.I have already booked for 2020.The staff are first class ,nothing is too much trouble.The Garage and Supermarket are very convenient,with direct lift access from the Garage to your apartments.
