Stayed 22nd December for a week with partner and 14 year old daughter,had amazing Christmas stay we booked seaview room which is well worth doing,view was stunning,room was lovely and cleaned every day,lovely big bathroom towels were so fluffy,nice touch with complimentary mini bar and chocolates,didn't use the pool so can't comment on that,staff welcoming and all work so hard.The rooftop bar was stunning spent alot of time up there and watching the sunset,food was excellent probably best we've had on AI drinks were top quality and branded ,hotel close to amenities bars restaurants etc we will definitely be returning had fantastic Christmas Holiday thanks Hotel Villa Del Mar.

“Staff were brilliant”

We stayed here for the Christmas period and thoroughly enjoyed the week. There were a couple of small negatives but they did not spoil our holiday in the slightest. The room was spacious with plenty of storage and a nice bathroom, however, the heating was set at a very high temperature that was uncomfortable to sleep with at night. The food was very good with good selections but often Luke warm. The all inclusive drinks were of a very high standard that included top branded wine, spirits and lagers. The staff were excellent, and the restaurant staff were simply fantastic, and there was a very special effort made for Christmas Day evening meal, everyone was doing their very best to make the guest Christmas dinner experience as special as they could, they all worked their socks off and the kitchen staff must have a special mention here because their job would have been even more stressful, we did here the odd moan about the meal because it was more traditional Spanish experience but if you want or expect British cuisine then why travel a thousand miles south to Spain? Thank you to the staff and everyone who worked so hard for us over Christmas.

Hotel itself is well placed to explore the beautiful old town area… staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful.. hotel was kept clean (both rooms and public areas)… the food was varied and pretty good for an all inclusive buffet.. main criticism is that it was mostly luke warm.. only other two negative points were lack of actual internal seating area for the bar, and no balcony on the rooms with sea view…

I can’t quite work out, why I wouldn’t return, other than it is quite a small hotel and as we went out of season I imagine peak times would be very busy and cramped. Other travellers would probably love it, just not for me.
