“Good hotel with a few issues”

Just back from this hotel and I enjoyed my stay with a few problems. The food was your typical all inclusive food the only issue being that there was very little choice of vegetables on affer that hadn't been fried or covered with a sauce. My room was clean although dated but it was pleasant and beds were comfy. More wardrobe space would have been nice. I had a walk in shower as I requested and it was good although the addition of a shower chair would have been nice. (I had to use the balcony chair) The entertainment was good as well and although I did not have children with me it was clear that they did a good job keeping the children entertained. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The communal areas were clean and reasonably comfortable. The lifts were a nightmare, slow and noisy. As I needed the lift to get to my room etc this caused me some distress and pain waiting on them due to my disability. I would suggest an upgrade of the ASAP. My biggest annoyance was check in!! It was slow and seemed to take forever and when we got there we were told our room would not be ready till 4pm!!!!! I have never heard of such a late time to get into a hotel room. At the point I arrived at the hotel (1pm) I had been awake since 2am all I wanted was a shower and to relax, not to hang about for 3hrs to get in to my room. As I stated above a have a disability so I needed to be able to take medication and relax to help this. Also the luggage storage area is not very secure as when I came back from lunch the door of it was being held open with MY case. Staff need to keep an eye on this more. Overall not a bad place to stay with just a few issues here and there

“It did for us!”

What a funny place this is. I went here with my three young adult children and we had two family rooms with pool view and breakfast. We arrived about 9pm at night and were able to check in quickly with friendly reception staff. Whilst checking in there was a very drunk man at the desk needing another key and an accident outside as someone had fallen over and an ambulance had to be called. Classic Benidorm! We found it all quite funny. Others may not. We were on floor 8 and we got as far as floor 5 in the lifts and never used them again for the rest of our four day stay. I don't do dodgy lifts. Just no. So our legs were aching by the end. The views were fab and the rooms were ok. However my son's bed had a blood stain on it at the end. It was quite late when we found it and so just put a pillow over it and the next morning I asked for it to be changed. They said they would and when we came home we thought it had been done but they just cleaned the room and didn't change the bed so two out of the four nights he slept in a bed with a random's blood stain, which isn't ok really. The handle also fell off in the bathroom which I had to fix in order to let myself out again which freaked me out for a bit! Breakfast is ok although a rather manic affair, but that's the fault of greedy brits rather than the hotel. There was a good range of food and it set us up for the day. The pool area is fab. Loved it. And some guy did some stetch stuff which we did and then did a little demo on how to make a sangria which was quite funny - and we all got a free one at the end. That was all the entertainment I saw but we weren't there all day every day. Oh and some mat they occasionally put on the pool to see if anyone can run across it! There were quite a few pockets of commotion during the stay. Some shouting and arguments from other drunk guests. A pair of knickers randomly landed on my balcony and it seems like keys break quite a lot, ours and others', and that's not ideal when you are on the eighth floor and can't use the lifts! I slept ok from Tuesday to Thursday night, but Friday night was like being in a lunatic asylum. Shouting, screaming, people banging on our door and running away. It was too much, especially as we had to be up at 3:30 am for our flight. And when we did go down, it was just as busy as in the day! So do I regret booking it? Absolutely not. Overall we had a lovely time, smiled and laughed a lot and I loved seeing the old set of the Benidorm series. But would I stay here again for what I paid? Probably not.

“Good location & clean, but probably wouldn't return ”

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, on half board. It's very clean, & in a great location just off the end of the main strip. The rooms are relatively basic, but spacious enough & we had maid service for 4 out of the 5 days, which was fine. Check in seems to be abit of an issue, during the day the reception area was continually full of people either queuing to check in or sitting around waiting for rooms to be ready. We knew that our room wouldn't be ready until 4pm, which we didn't feel would be a problem when booking, but when you've been awake since 2am you just want to get into your room! We now understand why everyone moans about this bit! They give you access to a secure luggage room, & there are plenty of places to get food & drink nearby, but when you've had an early flight it's still abit of a nightmare to be honest. We used the restaurant for 4 nights out of the 4, but never made breakfast, so can't comment on that! There was plenty of choice, nice salad bar, free water or juice, & the desserts were ok - although often the cakes were still somewhat frozen in the middle. However, all of the meat dishes & potatoes were always sitting in a pan of oil, really greasy on your plate, yet at the same time the meat was generally really dry & overcooked. Not great to be honest. The pool area is huge & well kept, always loads of sunbeds. But drinks at the pool bar are so expensive, & there is high pool security to ensure you don't bring your own! The few staff we spoke to were friendly enough, but the hotel is so huge we never encountered the same member of staff twice. The lifts were entertaining, being on the 8th floor we had no choice but to use them, but they can take awhile to arrive & then have mind's of their own! All in all, I wouldn't choose to return, there are far better hotels in Benidorm, but if it were eg the only hotel available for our dates, or was the cheapest available, then I wouldn't decline - it was ok, just not great.

This is a nice hotel but a bit of a let down for me we arrived early to be told check in is at 4pm so all guest where complaining about this. Lots of little things didn’t work like hair dryer button broke, fan in the bathroom didn’t work the bathroom ceiling was leaking aww & the lifts where constantly breaking down. I was shocked they don’t provide a kettle they charge a fee for a kettle cups & glasses. The pool was freezing cold colder than the sea, there wasn’t much going on around the pool mostly running across the pool on a mat to see who fell off other than that it was boring with no atmosphere. I don’t know what entertainment was on in the hotel as I never seen anything advertised anywhere. The food was ok but a lot of the time they ran out of fish & meat so you could be waiting 10/15 minutes for more to be cooked. The hotel was clean & tidy the staff are not very happy or helpful especially in the staff in the restaurant they look so angry I didn’t feel comfortable in their. I have stayed in a lot worse hotels than this but the atmosphere has definitely been better.
