Hello I'm seriously considering booking your resort as our next family holiday however I have a few questions, we are a vegan family is there vegan options in your restaurants and options of soy milk and yogurts ect, also do you have tofu at your resort. Kind regards Mitchell

I arranged a corporate trip for 3 nights and 2 rounds of golf and the stay was absolutely fantastic, Everyone really enjoyed their 3 nights and the standard of the rooms exceeded my and everyone’s expectations. The Tapas in Benidorm was excellent and the golf courses were superb. None of the group had anything negative to say about the hotel. I have never considered taking my wife to the Benidorm area however I was that impressed with your hotel and facilities I am considering bringing my wife for a long weekend to your hotel. So all positive from me and all the guests who were all were very impressed by the Hotel and Golf. Please pass on my regards to the ladies checking us in and a big Thank You to Ann as well for making the stay so organised ( I know I was hard work before we came LOL ).

“A lovely haven.”

It would have been 5, but some restaurants were not open, as May is classed as low season. We were not aware of this before booking. Rooms very good and staff absolutely superb. It would have been 5, but some restaurants were not open, as May is classed as low season. We were not aware of this before booking. Rooms very good and staff absolutely superb. A taxi ride into Benidorm is about 11 euros. If you are planning to use your own car to go into Benidorm, the traffic is crazy and parking is a nightmare. You will have a more relaxing time going by cab. Excellent views from the hotel and great pool areas. Will definitely return.

I really wasn’t going to write a review but after reading one regarding Vegan/Vegetarian options I felt I had to. This Hotel does NOT cater to anyone with any type of food allergies, likes or dislikes..and I’m annoyed by the Management response in a comment below mine, plain Pasta is there response to plant based meals.. But yes, they did have a few Soy Yogurts as they wrote but that was it..Absolutely nothing else.. Nothing is labelled, nothing is described, you may occasionally see Rice Salad which I tried, but after eating some I realised it had Shrimp chopped up in it, same with Caesar Salad one evening, there were two kinds, one said “Chicken” one didn’t, but yet as I ate the plain “Caesar Salad” I realised it had shredded chicken..Not good! One of our party has a Shellfish intolerance, if he had eaten the “rice salad” he would’ve ended up in Hospital! As a Vegetarian I found it very hard to eat at the Buffet, my choice was Salad which as stated had meat/fish through a lot of it, or pasta with a choice of cheese or tomato sauce every single night..no change in 7 nights! Yes, I did tell them I was a non meat eater before arriving, yes I had a chat with the Chef my first night about it but it never changed, in fact the Buffet was small and basic even for the meat eaters in our group..it was grilled chicken or fish, one night had Salmon, one night had steak like shoe leather apparently, I didn’t eat it but the meat eaters left it all behind on the plates! Not good!! We were AI, we did get a free meal in Lima but had to pay 16e each supplement NOT to eat at the Buffet if we wanted to eat somewhere else here! Again grilled Veg or Pizza were my only choice at the other 3 restaurants.. It was very very disappointing! The AI wine selection was very good however, as were the Cocktails, however the two Pool Bars were a joke, they supposedly opened at 11am, but it was 1130 before they would deign to give you Water or a drink, Coffee is not available during the day which I found extraordinary as I love a Coffee around 11, it’s also not available in Papamabos either at night on AI, but you could pay for it if you wanted it!! Depending on who served you at the pool bars you were in for an argument about AI, one day Ice Cream was included, the next day it wasn’t. I was refused a glass of Cava at the Beach Pool as the barman said they didn’t stock it despite getting one earlier..another day I asked for a Pina Colada, I was the only one at the bar, he told me to come back in 10 minutes as he was busy..Unbelievable as he stood chatting with another member of staff.. This is not the Level of service I expect from a Meliá Hotel… The Pools were lovely, they were well cleaned by two men in wetsuits every morning… Sun loungers are nice quality too, lovely thick large towels supplied by a nice young smiling man in the hut! The rooms were musty when we entered, we upgraded to a Premium one and it was nice and spacious, however we don’t use the small Balcony as it was covered in dead insects and bird poop..It was never cleaned the whole week we were there despite asking..Gross… The plus side is the free room safe, but another downside was some days the dirty towels were folded up and rehung despite me leaving them in the bath, I wouldn’t mind reusing towels but we had a small leak between the shower and sink which we mopped up ourselves every evening so we needed clean towels..When I explained that to the cleaner, she brought her Supervisor back into the room without knocking as I was getting changed..I didn’t like that at all..it was rude.. Overall we really didn’t enjoy the Hotel, it didn’t live up to Melia expectations, it is overpriced for what it is, The Buffet Food choice is limited, faded inaccurate description was in front of some dishes..but only a few… It was mainly guesswork as to what’s in front of you! The Quality of Alcohol is good but the Pool Bar service is not..(apart from PapaMambo) It’s a shame as the exterior is so beautiful here, but my advice is if you stay here do B&B, go to Benidorm at night for food, it’s worth the 10e cab fare for a choice of good well cooked, well labelled food which you won’t get here!
