We stayed here for a 7 day All-Inclusive Christmas Break, December 2024; It was reasonably priced and in a good location for the Old Town and Benidorm's Christmas Park and outdoor Ice Rink. The Hotel, I think, is mainly geared up for the Spanish holidaymaker especially the older customer (not sure what it would be like in the Summer though), but this didn't stop us making the most of our holiday. There were always long check-in queues at reception every day and a log jam of people with cases trying to get in the lifts to get to their rooms - the lifts are very slow. Luckily we avoided this as we arrived early morning and although couldn't access our room until later on in the day were able to check straight in and leave our cases in the secure luggage room until our room was ready - luckily we were on the 1st floor so used the stairs. Hotel was clean throughout although a little dated in design and decor. Our room was quite a decent size with a good sized en-suite with vanity basin, WC, bidet and shower over a full sized bath (the shower was excellent, powerful and always had hot water). Everything worked fine. Towels changed daily. The beds were very comfortable to be fair with relatively new, possibly memory-foam mattresses; bedding though comprised of an array of cotton sheets and a thin duvet, non of which would remain tucked in anywhere and you always woke up in a mess of crumpled bedding. We had a mini-fridge, secure safe and AC. No balcony though. The AI meals were all served in a choice of 2 self-service restaurants and had a reasonable menu choice, although probably more orientated towards the Spanish holidaymakers. Food was OK but a little repetitive, and hot breakfast foods (bacon, sausage and eggs) were all a bit too greasy. After day 4 breakfast we ate out for the rest of the week for all meals. Service for alcoholic drinks at the bars was very slow with long queues due to the serving of hot coffees etc at the same bar (usually with only 1 bar person on at a time) , when you eventually get to the bar you are restricted to 2 alcohol drinks per visit, meaning more queueing than drinking! There is a more British orientated bar on the lowest level which opens at 8pm and has entertainment every night, service is a bit quicker down there although there is only one person working the bar. Again we ventured out around Benidorm for drinks and entertainment. Due to the time of year we didn't use the pool area or venture to the rooftop terrace bar because of the very busy slow lifts, so can't comment. Location is great for the Old Town area of Benidorm but is quite a walk to the strip or the Rincon de Loix area where most of the family friendly venues are. All in all we had a comfortable stay at this hotel but were a bit disappointed with the AI food options and drinks. Would we stop here again - Benidorm, of course we would - but this hotel, probably not.

I have just returned from a week’s holiday staying at The magic crystal park hotel. After reading the poor reviews on this holiday - I was nervous on what we were going to get. However I can see why some of the reviews are poor. The rooms are tired but we had a reasonable room. A lovely memory foam mattress to sleep on. However the cleaning staff on the first floor were rude on the last day we had our bags on the bed packing to come home and we had a snotty note stating we had to keep the room tidy. Needless to say I wrote one back in Spanish stating the room would be tidy on our departure- I could understand it if it was really untidy or covered in rubbish or vomit or such like But it really wasn’t - we never left a tip for them either. The bar staff work hard -8 hour shifts- and are really helpful. Maria on reception is very pleasant and happy. Last but not least, food is plentiful- not always nice, 2 nights out of 7 the food was horrible, but you can make a salad or sandwiches easily enough. Plenty of nice fruit and desserts. You can fill up on. You need not go hungry if you go fully inclusive it is an alcoholics paradise.! The jacuzzi was freezing cold and so was the pool. So if this important to you just remember it’s cold. On the whole a holiday is what you make it and we had a nice time. Just remember it’s a Spanish hotel in Spain - when we are in their country it’s bound to be different - we had fun with some Spanish and were frowned upon for being English. When in Rome do what the Romans do and all that.
