A wonderful stay. Everything was great from room to food and view. Very efficient and attentive staff, I only had one English TV channel when I got to room, I informed reception within 5 minutes an engineer arrived and suddenly I had eight English TV channels. My stay has been wonderful, one small thing I would say is the rooms are not sound proof, absolutely fine this time of year but I think in the height of the season it could be a problem

“Exceptional stay”

This was our first time in Benidorm, staying at Hotel Poseidon Playa while celebrating my husbands birthday. The hotel has incredible sea views, we stayed on the top (17th) floor and it was amazing. The rooms are great with lovely comfortable beds, and are kept spotless by the fantastic housekeeping staff, towels chaged and beds made daily. The staff are lovely and helpful, and even left a birthday message and bottle of Cava for my husband on his birthday. The hotel is situated by Poinente Beach, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the old town. Great if you like a peaceful area that is still within reach of shops and restaurants. We only used the hotel restaurant for one meal as we were room only, but the food was good and seemed to have enough choice. As mentioned in other reviews, it seems very popular with Spanish holidaymakers, and so yes, entertainment was more geared towards them, but we still enjoyed it even if we didn't always understand everything! lol If you are room only, you will also find a lovely place for food just a few minutes up the road called La Pinta, we had lovely breakfasts there who do a great full English as well as yogurt bowls and traditional Spanish dishes. All in all a wonderful stay, and we would most definitely come back!

“Great hotel”

We had a brilliant time at this hotel the staff were great nothing was a problem, the rooms were cleaned everyday, didn't eat there so don't know about that part, the cocktails were a good price very good value this is the second time we've been and will be going back next year can't wait.

An honest review, I stayed two nights this December. Location is good, a pleasant stroll to the old town, and some interesting places heading the opposite direction. I walked from the bus station both ways, perfectly fine. It is quiet at night, but as it was the holidays, the reported construction was not applicable. Staff: Most are excellent. I was accosted however for taking a banana and a muffin from the dining hall at breakfast. Really became a scene, and I was quite embarrassed. I had explained that I had paid for full board (+lunch), but was going for a walk, but was still treated poorly. Really shabby actually. On another occasion, as one of my group had mobility problems, I went early to secure a table nearest the door, I was told this was not normally allowed unless all guests were present. This defeated the point of me going ahead and attempting to secure a table that would be less trouble to get to for my friend, and I felt I should not even bothered to ask. Some staff seem really stressed or are unduly pressured. Cleaning staff are good, but do not always respect "Do Not Disturb" signage, they still knock to check. Reception staff is good. Nothing bad to say, except some staff shine brightly, average otherwise. Food: Very good, with a reasonable selection per day/meal. Not 5*, it would be standard buffet fare. But I found the quality good, and the interest/service of the staff to be excellent, the buffet is presented well, and staff are attentive. The selection is maintained fresh throughout the service. It might have been the season, but the clientele seemed mostly older, mostly Spanish, but all were quite civilised. I found the place to be very good value and acceptable for the intended stay.
