I found the hotel excellent. My room was clean and was kept clean. There was a small fridge and a kettle in my room, I wish I had known about this before I travelled from the UK because I would have taken decaf coffee and tea with me, the Spanish was not to my taste and difficult to find and expensive. I arrived at the Olympus Hotel at 22.30hrs hungry and tired; after I had checked in Toni the receptionist told me in excellent English they had saved me a selection of food from dinner. They had left the dining room open and set a table for me. I have used hotels a lot over many years and I have never known such thoughtfulness before. This was the service for my stay; nothing was too much trouble from the friendly and helpful staff of the Olympus Hotel. The food was excellent. The buffet-style breakfast and dinner had a good selection of food presented and cooked well. They even had free wine and beer with the evening meal. The hotel was almost full during my stay, with about two-thirds Spanish / Germans and one-third English. I found all the guests friendly and polite. The Old Town and Poniete Beach are about a 10-minute walk, and Levante Beach is about a 20-minute walk. However, there is a cheap bus service a short walk from the hotel that will take you anywhere until 23.00 hrs. Toni the receptionist told me what number bus to catch and where the nearest bus stop to the hotel was and even gave me a map.

Rooms were clean, nice, comfortable beds, good shower and a small, but adequate, balcony ...Food was good, hot and plenty of choice..admittedly the pool area (roof) could do with a few euros threw at it to improve it...the Entertainment was geared up for the Spanish, which wasn't a problem as we were in a Spanish Hotel!!..nice walk through the old town within 10/20 mins of most of Benidorms bars, restaurants n stuff...all in all a great stay...

We stayed at the Olympus for one week during Christmas. It's a nice enough place with very friendly staff. The rooms are pretty good but our bathroom had a heavy sliding door that kept getting stuck. There is no real privacy. Even when it's closed all the way, anyone in the bedroom can still see the toilet. The hotel itself is nicely laid out. The guests are almost entirely Spanish old age pensioners and the entertainment caters for them 100% and nobody else. Go down to the bar for a drink any night and you'll find them all having a waltz. At least the ones who are still able to. The food is okay and quite varied but not hot. Some luke warm and some actually freezing cold. However, we only discovered on day 3 that there is actually a microwave for guest use. It's kind of hidden but take a walk around the dining room and you'll find it. One thing I have to add is the behaviour of the Spanish pensioners in the dining room. They don't seem to do queues. They will barge in front of you to get to the food, even when they can see that you are clearly next. If you try to be polite and wait your turn I'm afraid you're not getting fed so you have to do the same back to them. Overall it's a nice hotel to eat and sleep in but you'll want to leave it at night time if you like a few drinks and maybe a bit of music.

The hotel is very clean and tidy and the staff are helpful and polite, we only had breakfast which was good and a wide range of things to suit everyone, suggest going early for breakfast as hotel is mostly older Spanish people and you have to wait as they crowd around things. Also no chance of using lifts at meal times as queues with older people waiting to use them. Rooms are good really clean, great shower, balcony was good. Maids come daily to change towels and clean room. The pool on the rooftop is good, although was very cold but we still went in as weather was good. Pool was empty as you have to go up metal stairs to it and don’t thing the older guests could manage them. They did have entertainment each night at hotel but we didn’t see it as looked like it was catered more for Spanish guests. On the whole is was a nice stay and did it’s purpose, you can walk on the front through old town then along front again into the new town. Nice walk in the nice weather with a few pit stops on the way (probably 45-55 min walk to strip in new town)
