Had a great week staying in apartment 808 which is across the road from main hotel. Our balcony was basically the pool so it was great!!! Apartment had twin beds and sofa bed (very comfortable) in living area. Pool gets sunshine late into the evening. Pool was quieter than main hotel which we preferred. Beer, soft drinks & water available all day. Other drinks available in main hotel so was not a problem. Great breakfast. Found lunch & dinner very similar. Good food & lots of options but we choose to eat out for dinner for change of scenery. Only suggestion I have is for staff to come over to apartment pool & remind guests when aqua gym or yoga is due to start as probably would have availed of it more then. Overall a very good 3 star hotel within very easy reach of beach shops & restaurants.

Don’t worry about all the negative reviews, go and try for yourself. Blue Sea Gran playa is a nice 3* hotel, it’s clean, the junior suite is big, the bed was very comfortable and a great powerful shower. The entertainment team do their best to get people involved without being to pushy, which is good as we like to watch others have fun but don’t like to participate ourselves. Staff are friendly, the whole hotel was spotless, food wise, you’re not going to starve, plenty of choice and replenished very quickly, please remember this is a 3* hotel who are catering for many nationalities so sometimes the combinations seem a little odd, but everything we ate was lovely, The only negative points I have which is not the hotels fault was we would have preferred a pool view, so we were disappointed to get to room 116 to see a view of the flat roof and not able to see the pool, probably the worst view we’ve ever had in a hotel, and also the walls are very thin and the couple above us woke us a few times in the early hours of the morning being very romantically vocal! (Take ear plugs) On a whole though We had a lovely week, thanks Team Blue Sea Gran Playa

Booked this holiday four our family of four (the unemployed members of the household being 13f and 9m) based on the photos and some of the reviews. The hotel itself is very clean and welcoming, well laid out and boasting good facilities commensurate with it's 3* rating. Rooms are clean and well appointed and all communal areas of the hotel are accessible, clean and well presented. All of the staff that we encountered were very welcoming, helpful and multi-lingual. Sadly not all wore name badges as I like to name drop in the hope that hotel management actually read these reviews and feedback to staff where necessary. Anyway, on that note, shout out to the tall, slim guy behind the bar - no name badge, but great bar host, really good interaction with all the guests that I witnessed. Other than that Claydemar always had a smile! Two things let the hotel down in my opinion. The pool itself is very small given the number of rooms available and, even off-season, gets very busy at times. There are notices posted that sunbeds cannot be reserved, but this doesn't seem to be policed/enforced by the staff and there were a good few times when we saw beds with towels on them, but nobody appeared to be using them. Secondly, the food. Mostly average, at times awful. We're not a family of fussy eaters, but there were at least a couple of meal times where there was nothing that we would all eat. The quality of some ingredients was, at times, poor and there wasn't always enough variety on offer. One evening was either all fish or vegetarian - and some of the fish didn't look too appetising! If you're all-inclusive with children, this stuff sometimes matters! The hotel is situated in a small town which has everything you could want within walking distance, including a lovely sandy beach. Some good shops, some touristy tat shops and some decent bars and restaurant. There is also a large Carrefour supermarket within walking distance. If you're mobile (hire car, taxi or bus) then the lovely town of Porto Christo is about 15 minutes drive away and, of course more can be found farther afield. Fairly decent hotel, in good order, but the food would probably convince me not to return given that there are so many alternatives available.

Arrived early hours of the morning the desk staff were very helpful and we were even offered food and drink in the restaurant just sandwich stuff but a nice thought. The hotel is bright and clean and we had a junior suite which was basic but very nice, only fault the pillow were very uncomfortable. The pool area is lovely and the bar staff very efficient. No complaints food is exactly what you expect for 3 stars nothing special but you will find something of your choice. Loved the location of this hotel close to bars and shops 5-10 min walk to a beautiful beach. For a budget holiday it’s a great hotel.
