We travelled here as a party of five (two rooms). We had one small infant with us. The rooms are very clean and spacious, we had a travel cot set up for us on arrival, I did email prior to this to ensure it was in place. Fridge in room is operational, safe and bath towels also free to use. Reception staff very friendly and attentive. There is a deposit for the wrist bands (10€ each) for the all inclusive and a tourist tax which you would have to pay anywhere. All inclusive experience is excellent. Lovely cold san Miguel and other house spirits. There is also a cocktail of the day if you like that sort of thing. All the bar staff and wait staff were very friendly. Food is very good. Varied selection every mealtime. Exactly what would be expected from a four star hotel. ‘Show food’ cooked to order each mealtime, pretty much anything you could think of to choose from. You would have to be an incredibly picky eater not to find something you like. Hotel has a mixed group of nationalities which makes for a fun experience with our European friends. Kids entertainment was fun and interactive, she was engaged and enthusiastic with all the kids. Hotel pool outside is a bit chilly, but we visited in September, there is an indoor pool which there is a small charge for. Santa Susanna and nearby Malgrat de Mar (walkable in a few minutes) is resort like but on a smaller scale. Has typical bars, shops and restaurants to keep you entertained. It’s infant friendly as she could have a toddle around outside some of the restaurants which were far enough away from the road. There is the train station an easy walk away from the hotel. It costs about 11€ return to Barcelona. I think we hit rush hour on the way back (1700) and it was really full which is something to be mindful of. Beach is very close. It’s grainy sand but very pretty. Overall this has been a perfect holiday for our 11 month olds first time away. We’ve had a fab time and the hotel has been excellent.

After reading some of the reviews, my sister and I were a little dubious about what kind of hotel we had booked, but right from the off, we were pleasantly surprised. The road that the 'front' of the hotel is situated on leaves a lot to be desired... Its a single lane road that is flanked by car parks and waste wheelie bins, with a lovely view of a supermarket, but please do not let that put you off this hotel! We arrived at about 1:30pm, and were checked in after about a 5 minute wait. I can't say that the lady on reception was overly friendly, but she was polite, efficient and we were able to go straight to our room. I cannot praise our room more :) We requested twin beds, and that's what we had. The position of our room, (262), was perfect and as you can see in one of the photos, we had an amazing view of the back of the hotel, where the pool and bar was situated. Although we could see the view perfectly well, our balcony was protected from prying eyes by the lovely palm trees, but the trees didn't affect the sun at all. The room and bathroom was spotlessly clean, with the shower powerful and the hairdryer great. We did have an issue at the beginning, when trying to programme the safe with our code, but after a quick visit to reception, a lovely maintenance man came to our room and fixed it in 60 seconds :) We were AI, so once we had dumped our cases and grabbed towels, we went to the buffet restaurant to have lunch. The food was what I would call 'standard AI' food - there was plenty to choose from, with lots of fish, shellfish, meat, salad and breads. I think that you would have to be incredibly fussy to not be full up at the end of meal times. The restaurant does get a bit busy during certain times, and being British and loving a queue, I did find the attitude of some of the other patrons quite difficult to deal with - there was alot of pushing in, reaching over, path hogging etc. But again, this is not a reflection on the hotel or the staff... The restaurant staff were ALWAYS on the go, clearing tables, replenishing food etc., they worked so hard! Next - the bar & barstaff! Absolutely 10/10! How that hotel makes any money on the AI drinks is beyond me - the cocktails were immense, very strong and very tasty. The barstaff are quick and efficient, and did have a giggle a couple of times when I took a sip of cocktail and shuddered, haha. The bar wait staff were incredible. On the go from morning until night, always with a massive smile on their faces, and not a complaint in sight. They interacted with the guests, (even laughing with some of the more rowdy or intoxicated ones, haha), cleaning tables, and serving the 'paid' cocktails and drinks - they were such hard workers! The evening entertainment was good, not fantastic, but we were quite happy listening to the singers that were laid on. There was no daytime entertainment, which was advertised, but I don't think that bothered us too much as we were quite happy to sit by the pool and read/people watch. We never had a problem getting sunbeds, but I could imagine that in peak season it could be an issue, and with some other guests not understanding the concept of personal space, it can get a bit cosy in the spots that get the sun all day. The pool is absolutely baltic!! So it was pretty much empty all day - my sister did get in a couple of times but literally came out with blue fingers, toes and lips! I dipped one toe in and then tapped out. The location was brilliant. You walk down through the grounds and out onto the main road - turn left and you will find loads of bars, restaurants, shops etc. Cross the main road and you are a five minute walk away from the biggest beach. Turn right and there are some more classier shops and restaurants... We did walk to the right one evening, up to the train station, and after about 7pm there are market stalls set up the whole way, selling jewellery, bags, watches, perfumes etc. Just outside the hotel on the main road, to the left, was a fab ice-cream van/hut type thing - well worth a visit :) We treated ourselves to a meal out at Kings Bar, (to the left), one evening and all I can say is the portions are massive. We hugely over-ordered but the food was perfect, the atmosphere was great and the prices very reasonable. I can't really complain about anything but I would like to make some suggestions: 1: There are no ice-creams included in the AI. We did find this quite odd, as all other AI holidays we have been on, there has been some available for a couple of hours in the afternoons. There are some available to buy, (AI get half price), but I still think it is strange to not have any available. Hence the reason we found the ice-cream truck next door ;) 2: The freezing cold pool needs some heat! It is that cold, it's not even funny - the sea is warmer than the pool. 3: You cannot get AI tea, coffee, soft drinks or water (???) between the hours of 11pm - 11am unless you pay for them. There are also NO tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms. I have never experienced this before either, and am used to being able to get coffee, juice and water from a 24hr machine in the lobby, or lounge or something!? I managed to work my way around my early morning coffee situation by filling my thermos mug at 11pm the night before, and drinking luke warm coffee whilst getting dressed the next morning, haha. I reccommend taking a travel kettle to solve that problem, and maybe buying a large bottle of water to go in your room fridge. All in all, we would definitely go back to Alegria Florida Park - maybe not with kids, but for a girls trip, or couples holiday, I think it is great! :) We travelled as a party of 2 women, 40's, for 5 nights all-inclusive.

We went for a week in September it was fantastic. The staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. Couldn’t fault them at all. Food was excellent choice different range every day. Fresh clean and lovely. The facilities was fantastic. Entertainment was great and the atmosphere during the day and night was great highly recommended for Middle age and couples. My only moan was there was a group of middle aged special needs people (Spanish) Who wasn’t cared for by the carers in the appropriate way there was allowed to touch food with a bare hands not using tongues, especially after seeing them lick their hands and pick their nose a lot. And one of the men in his 50s kept touching women by accidentally knocking into them and then hugging them and the carers did nothing about it. One of the carers drank on a night and danced and couldn’t care less what they patience was doing. Just think it could be managed better.
