Stayed here in May with family, the hotel is lovely and all areas are kept clean and tidy. We had rooms on the top floor overlooking the car park but still had good views of the surrounding area and the sea. The rooms were quite basic but clean and seemed to be well maintained. Safe in room is free to use but they have no tea/coffee making facilities so if you want a cup of tea bring a kettle. The pool areas were fantastic, 3 pools (1 heated) and plenty of space and plenty of sunbeds (not sure what its like in the high season though) This was my favourite part of the hotel. The bar area was nice and spacious and had a large outdoor area too, there was entertainment every night and most nights it was good. The restaurant seating area was good but it could get quite packed around the food areas, they do have quite a selection of foods but there were times when some of it wasn't very hot. The food in general was really nice but the issue with the restaurant is not all the food had signs saying what it was so you have to take a guess sometimes and the signs they did have were very faded and hard to see which can be an issue if you are trying to avoid certain foods or don't eat meat etc. Cannot comment of the spa as we didn't use it. Didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff but they all seemed very friendly and helpful. I will say the cleaners on our floor were lovely keeping our rooms cleaned and always said hello when we passed them. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk away from the beach/seafront and there were shops and restaurants all along. We generally stayed in the hotel at night so I can't say what the night life was like but there didn't seem to be many bars, the local area seems to be quite empty of things to do. The train station is about 10 minutes walk away and the train runs straight to Barcelona which takes about 1hr and 30mins, its worth visiting but 1 day is probably not enough to do everything especially if you take one of the tour buses, they take about 2 hrs from start to finish. The train also stops at other places if you want to go out and about, we took a train ride to Blanes which is just one stop away and was a nice place to visit. You can also book boat trips along the coast and visit Lloret/Tossa etc, we did the day trip to Tossa and it was well worth it, I would definately recommend it. Overall the hotel was lovely and I would stay there again for a nice relaxing break but the surrounding area does seem to be lacking in things to do.

Fantastic hotel and staff. They remembered us from stays before as we remembered them. Says a lot about the hotel when this happens. The hotel must be doing something right for this to happen. We are celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary this year and asked if they could keep a table reserved for us one night in the restaurant. Not only did they do this, but a lovely floral arrangement and a glass of bubbly for each of us too. Amazing! This is why we have been returning to this hotel. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here too. The food is fantastic with a wide choice of menu both for breakfast and evening meal. We always go half-board as there is always so much that we don’t require lunch. The drink prices are reasonable. Yes, maybe a kettle in the room and tea/coffee making would be nice in the room, but it’s not a problem. Yet another holiday here and we wouldn’t want to go anywhere else in Malgrat de Mar. For us, it is a little oasis of happiness in Malgrat.

We are in our second week of a 2 week holiday. The room is spotlessly clean and fresh water bottles are left every day. The only downside is that although the large colour TV says it can receive BBC 1&2, itv and ch4 there is no signal. The receptionist said that they now have no control over the TV offering. We have resorted to our tables for news, etc. There are 3 pools here and plenty of sunbeds. No rush to find a bed. The food in the restaurant is of excellent quality and something for everyone including a special section for vegans, gluten free, and vegetarian. There are always chips for the fussy eaters. Although, the number of dining room staff are struggling to serve drinks and clear/ set up tables. In comparison, the waiters in the bar are first class - always asking you what you want to drink. The all inclusive bar changed to a pay bar after 23.00hrs. It is the only hotel that does not charge extra for cocktails during this time and the amount of spirits is not reduced for all inclusive clients. Today, we had a walk to the tourist area on the front of Malgrat. It was a mixture of seedy/tacky sovereign shops, bars and restaurants. A poor man's Blackpool with cheaper prices. In conclusion, we have been very impressed with this adults hotel and would definitely return. The previous adults only in Santa Susanna (which we previously stayed in) is poor in comparison despite being on the beach. It is a shame that Jet2 is not returning back to this hotel in 2025. They need to rethink their decision.

We'd booked a week and requested a twin room, but the hotel we were adamant it was a double room we'd asked for. I was staying with my mum, so we would've definitely requested two separate beds when booking. They didn't have any other rooms available because we arrived at a busy weekend and said if they moved us later we wouldn't have such a nice room (bearing in mind our view was of the car park across the road - not that we're ones to pay for a room with a view, but usually you'd get something a little better, like a garden or other hotels if you haven't paid extra for a sea view). Anyway, the hotel said they would make the double bed into two single beds by having two sets of sheets on them. These were not two singles that could be easily separated and made apart. It was a double bed they put two sets of single covers on, so you still felt each other moving in the night. The beds were also rock hard, and our backs were not in the best shape by morning, if there was any sleep to be had, which only occurred on the days following our trips to Barcelona by the Malgrat de Mar Station a convenient 10 minute walk away. Other than the beds not being singles and being like sleeping on the floor, the hotel was lovely, well kept, food was good and the pool area was really nice and relaxing. We went Full Board so we had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Please bear in mind you have to pay for bottled water at lunch and dinner - it isn't free. Could not fault everything else and was very well placed to be by loads of bars, restaurants and shops. Not sure I would go back because if you don't get a good night's sleep, you don't wake up refreshed which you should have on holiday, so this made us very tired and meant we didn't have as much energy as we'd have liked to go out exploring more.
