After nearly a half year of miserable weather in Central Europe, we achieved success with sunny Costa Brava. The weather was on point and area is nice with sea and beach. The hotel caters to people who want to over indulge in food and drink. Both I thought were fine but reaffirmed that I am not an all inclusive person. The food for an all inclusive I thought was good enough. There was variety, hot and cold three times a day. The meal times are a bit short but given you have the chance to eat 3x a day with some snacks at the pool bar, no complaints. We just had beer and cava (sparkling wine) and thought that each was good for beer and sparkling wine. The noise, the music and the free for all drinking after 6pm was a bit much for us. The hotel is smallish and you are not getting away from folks who just want to sing and drink. Good on them, but if you don't want that then this is not your place. It is definitely not a 4 star and the staff is very hot and cold. Some good, some very much not. We have booked another holiday in the same area but not this hotel. It is not bad, but it is just run more like a party hostel than a beach hotel. If you are driving, the parking is a problem. I received a 40 euro parking ticket due to lack of parking spots. My fault, but the hotel has an issue with parking and I don't think they have any intention of addressing it. I would recommend to 20 somethings of a group of friends but not couples or adults wanting something a bit more refined.

After a long day of travel to get here we arrived to be greeted by a very unfriendly man who obviously did not want to be here. He gave us our room key, and we opened the door to see one small double bed… (we are not a couple, my friend brought me for the weekend for my birthday) so we went back and asked for a room with 2 beds. He said no, but after us absolutely insisting he gave us another room and literally threw the new key at us. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable and the air conditioning works well so that was ok. Breakfast was ok, warm food was definitely not fresh but it was edible. The boiled eggs were the same batch two mornings in a row, all the smashed ones still in the bowl. The pool was clean and the outside area was nice. The barman (Frank I think) was really good but the drinks are definitely, definitely watered down. We drank loads and were nowhere near even tipsy. You don’t get glasses either, everything is in plastic cups. Lunch and dinner were pretty much the same thing all the time, no real choice if you want warm food. The sewage tank empty point is literally outside our room which was a nice touch because they emptied it, not even moving our sun lounges away. The evening entertainment first night was some Latin dancers, and it was performed in the bar area, they were talented but it wasn’t the entertainment we were looking forward to. The bar is a help yourself situation. There is a cocktail machine that gives you squash/cordial and definitely not a cocktail. The 2nd night entertainment was actually really good. It is a really basic hotel so if you want anything remotely fancy look somewhere else, but if you just want a cheap weekend away this is the place to come. Also I would not do the all inclusive option. There are loads of amazing places to eat and drink up the road.

Definitely not a 4 star.....pictures on trip adviser are old. Lovely welcome upon arrival with a glass of fizz. Staff were lovely and food was OK.... alot of pork though. Cleanliness of hotel not great you can't see through the glass on your balcony as I don't think they've ever been cleaned. ... more

Cleanliness of hotel not great you can't see through the glass on your balcony as I don't think they've ever been cleaned. Also Don't sit under the tree outside in entertainment area as you get covered in sap and bird poo! All chairs and tables out there are all sticky from sap too. Entertainment was OK. Room was nice heard a few guests had mouldy rooms. I don't think the floor ever got cleaned in rooms either while we was there. Never saw staff check pool levels throughout the day and there was bits in it. Hotel has very thin walls. It was very noisy early in morning you can hear everything. Do dont stay here if you want a lie in. And the sound of train going past all day is noisy too as the railway is literally outside the hotel. Don't get a taxi from airport to here as they will sting you and take you long way round. If you do though don't pay anymore than €130 and it should only take you 55 mins not an hour and half. The hotel Don't cater very much for English.... its all French and Spanish people that are more welcome. The amount of males coming out the ladies toilets were ridiculous...... knew they were using them leaving seats up and not flushing. Toilets weren't very clean either. Alot of corners cut in this hotel.
