“Not fancy but comfortable and cozy”
This hotel was very no frills - almost felt like staying in an old college dorm. But it was clean, comfortable, safe, and the hospitality from the front desk was top notch. El Canario Laguna is a great 3 star hotel. First time in Puerto Rico. I shared a room with my mother and it was everything I had hoped for. Staff were great, location was great, breakfast was great. “Needs careful consideration - construction works in proximity”
This hotel has both pluses and minuses. In hindsight, I would have chosen a different hotel for our 10 mights stay in San Juan. Our cruise ship came into port at 8:30 a.m. and the hotel was kind enough to allow us to store our luggage until check in at 3:00.
