I stayed at Costa de Prata 1. Lovely clean hotel, had a large room with a view over the sea and a great breakfast. The beds were a bit soft. We took our evening meals at Prata 2, the sister hotel. The food was not good, especially for vegetarians. Figueira is not a place to visit in October, as most things are shut down and it rains incessantly. Still warm though and the huge seas are impressive.

“DECENT HOTEL”

I stayed here for 5 nights on business 3 weeks ago and found the hotel to be really good. This is primarily down to their excellent staff - Ricardo and Luis in particular. Their command of the English language was excellent as I can't speak Portugese. I had a room with a sea view which was great. It was clean and well looked after on the 2nd floor. The continental breakfast was excellent too. I give 4 stars rather than five because; 1. The air conditioning in the room is so loud, no point turning it on. 2. The noise from adjacent bedrooms can be heard. 3. The restaurant doesn't do evening meals. The bar, albeit small, was excellent and I was able to watch TV in the bar area each night which was excellent (football incl EPL matches). Overall, I enjoyed myself at the hotel and as I said earlier, it's the staff that makes this a good place to stay.

This hotel is in a very good location and is very clean. We ended up staying 2 weeks because this hotel is in close proximity to the place I had business to conduct. However, if you like to avoid bumping into your luggage when walking in the room I'd advise perhaps another hotel because the room we stayed at was nice and clean but really small. I may be wrong but juddging from the plan on the wall, all rooms seemed to be small. There was zero place to put the luggage. We had to leave it on the floor against the wall and be careful when walking or else we'd bump into the luggage. Like all hotels around, there is no parking but close to this hotel, you may be able to find free parking. We did for the whole time we stayed there and that is mostly why we decided not to move the luggage around to another hotel. Originally, I wanted to travel to other locations (rented a car) but the business I had to do postponed the appointments and we extended the stay here. If you somehow find yourself in a similar situation do yourself a favor by going online and purchase your extended stay online because if, like I did (for 2 night only) go to the front desk and ask for an extension, they ding you right there. I kid you not we paid 30 euros more for EACH of the 2 nights we extended and for the same room. Right after, I found that I needed yet to stay longer, then, went online and booked the same room for 30 euros per night less than I paid at the front desk. Overall was a good stay even though the breakfast, in my view, should include some regional sweets. If you travel by car do a search because some hotels we stayed at do offer that.

We stayed there for 6 nights. (+)The location of the hotel, just next to the beach Breakfast was ok. Continental. The room and the bathroom were big enough. There were three beds in the room. The staff was very nice and helpful, except one lady at the restaurant. The cleanliness of the room was exemplary except for the windows. The view from the room was very nice (-) The attitude of the lady in the restaurant, but after we made a complaint at the reception, her attitude improved. There were no vegetables at the breakfast (tomatoes, cucumbers, etc...) The carpet in the room was dated and had many spots. The curtains were destroyed and very dirty. Also the windows were dirty. The bathroom door offered almost no intimacy since it was just a sliding one. There was no refrigerator in the room.

“Good stay.”

We just stayed for a night and it was a comfortable stay. The breakfast was good. Though the bathroom light didn't work and the room was a bit dirty, specially the windows. Overall everything was ok. Nice staff.
