“Beautiful seafront hotel which takes up the entire block”
Painted different colours on the outside, this is one long hotel on the inside. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was fabulous. Very large room, handy fridge. Huge TV. “Good hotel, but improvements required”
The location of the hotel is great and probably the sunniest place on Madeira. Reception staff is friendly and helpful. Nevertheless, restaurant staff look always unhappy. There is only one coffee machine in the restaurant and you always experience people waiting to fill their coffee in the morning… more

“Good in parts”
Lovely setting. Friendly staff. But no tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. There should be a minimum of a kettle, cups and sachets. That is standard these days. Also it would be good to put up a glass wall between swimming pool and reception. Stops reception being too warm. Also put spa robe… more

“Great Holiday would benefit from some advance information”
A well organised hotel in rural Madiera, on the sea shore. It would have helped if we knew just how rural beforehand as the 25euro and 20 min taxi from Funchal turned into 35-40euro and half an hour in practice or an hour on the express bus if you could find it. “Good but nothing special.”
Lovely sea view from our room . Nice and clean. Large room. Poor toiletries. Really poor that there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. This has been mentioned so many times in reviews but seems to have fallen on death ears. Not even a bottle of water in the room.
