We have had a wonderful holiday at **Meliá Madeira**, starting off perfectly with a beautiful room on the 5th floor, offering incredible views of the sea, the pool, and the promenade. We want to give special thanks to Tina for such a thoughtful room choice—it made the beginning of our holiday truly unforgettable. It was also a pleasure to meet her, and we’re so grateful for the lovely welcome. The hotel is in a spectacular location. While it’s true that Madeira doesn’t have sandy beaches, this island isn’t about that—it’s a place of breathtaking beauty, and we have been enjoying every single moment here. Breakfast is an absolute delight, with freshly made omelets, pancakes, and everything else you could wish for to start the day. Hari makes the most delicious omelets with a smile, quickly and efficiently attending to every guest. Ze and Jay are another exceptional professionals , always attentive and welcoming. A special thanks to **Sarita**, who made sure I had Nutella for my pancakes—a perfect example of how the little details make such a difference. The staff here goes above and beyond to make you feel special, which is why we always choose the **Meliá** chain for our holidays. From the fantastic reception team—who assisted with printing, scanning, and sending important documents—to the restaurant staff, everyone works tirelessly to ensure every detail is perfect. We are sad to be leaving this wonderful hotel and its stunning views, but we are already planning to return. Thank you, **Meliá Madeira**, for giving us such an unforgettable experience!

“After all, it is a MELIA Hotel”

Very nice hotel with great views of the ocean. Spacious clean rooms, Very good breakfast buffet that also includes an omelet station. Right off one of the main streets. Offers pillow menu, free coffee and tea in the rooms as well as a free bottle of water every night.

Fabulous. Loved our bedroom, superior room on 8th floor. Magnificent view, huge balcony. Bed very comfortable. Large bathroom, unfortunately the shower was over the bath. Breakfast was good, coffee was awful (delta brand). I had to go to Forum shopping centre to buy coffee every morning. Staff very… more

Just returned from a 10 night stay and this is a mixed review. The positives are: All staff from reception, housekeeping, the bar, and restaurant were professional & helpful. The coffee delivered with a smile at breakfast The standard of housekeeping -room cleaned to high standard every day Noticing from his passport that it was my husband’s birthday and delivering chocolates to the room. The lovely indoor pool. The location which is great for a coastal walk to the west or a stroll into the city centre to the east. Fabulous range of restaurants close at hand. Comfy bed Booked a side room 724-but still had a fantastic view of the sea The visiting bird of prey that scared away (temporarily at least) the annoying pigeons by the pool Free car park in the basement Lifts – plenty of them and never a long wait Drinks were reasonably priced and good quality A/C in room was easily controlled and effective. The negatives were: Room a bit dated, broken shower screen, overflow knob on bath kept falling off- nothing major The uncomfortable and dated pool furniture The food – breakfast choice was huge – perhaps it would be better to have less choice but improve the quality. No warm plates. Poor toasters. We did not try the evening food based on the average breakfast so cannot comment but you could have a very good meal and bottle of wine in a good local restaurant for €60. Coffee from the machines in the restaurant was undrinkable
