“Good hotel”

Good service and facilities at this hotel. Nice rooms, everything seems to work properly. I enjoyed the food but the buffet does get a bit congested when the hotel is busy. Funchal is a busy place and is very hilly so expect some noise from traffic at night

This is the second time we have stayed at the enotel magnolia, first time 10 years ago. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need for a weeks break. Really comfortable. The staff from the front desk to dining room and the lady that cleans the rooms were superb, could not fault anyone.... more

This is the second time we have stayed at the enotel magnolia, first time 10 years ago. The rooms are clean and tidy with everything you need for a weeks break. Really comfortable. The staff from the front desk to dining room and the lady that cleans the rooms were superb, could not fault anyone. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Madeira. Great value for money 💴

Just back from a week in the Magnólia We stayed in a superior double room with a garden view and it was spot on, the room had everything you needed, nice balcony, walk in shower with good pressure, with some basic toiletries, free safe, flat screen tv with enough English channels, kettle and cups ( no tea/ coffee) nice king sized bed plus a decent sized single bed, the room was spotless and cleaned every day. The hotel itself was very clean. We stayed bed and breakfast, the choice at breakfast was huge with everything you would need, however all the English breakfast food was cold, sausage, bacon, eggs etc, the was an egg chef making fresh omelettes, pancakes etc The coffee and juice were both really poor, the juice was tasteless. The pool area was fine with plenty of beds ( pool towels provided) due to the weather being cloudy all week it was never really busy. The bar area and evening entertainment was ok , mostly for older people. The hotel is centrally located, however it is up a slight hill that we found hard work, the hill was off putting for us but we got a taxi back most of the time

No complaints about the hotel inMadeira. Everyone from cleaners, bar staff, receptionists and dining room staff were all helpful and pleasant.. The only downside was we had to divert to Lanzarote because of the winds. It meant we lost over a day of our holiday because we did not get to Madeira until late on Tuesday night. Also at Lanzarote they had no record of me needing assistance to get on and off the plane. We ended up tagging along with another couple Mr and Mrs Punton as they also needed help. The hotel in Lanzarote was fine except we were a long way from reception and the restaurant and as I have difficulty walking, was not ideal. Otherwise meals were provided and the room was fine.
