Our 8th stay at the Views Oasis was once again a superb visit. We really liked the new pool area with new flooring and the jacuzzi area. It definitely now just feels like coming home! Especially seeing and being welcomed back by so many staff. Being able to hear and see the sea from your room makes you feel immediately on holiday and relaxed. Everywhere again was spotlessly clean and the meticulous organisation of everything is done so quietly yet so efficiently from room servicing to the outstanding service in the bars and restaurant. The food continues to be excellent at every meal. We were on All Inclusive so ate in the main restaurant, pool bar and the speciality restaurant for the fish and meat nights. We had a superior room which we knew gave us lots of space and excellent views. It was my birthday while we were there. My husband had arranged some flowers to be delivered to our room which were there on our arrival. My birthday meal was once again celebrated with the staff, and a lovely cake, What really makes our stay here every time.. and makes us come back year after year is the exceptional staff in every area. All the staff are superb; efficient, smiley and helpful. I can't name names as it would be unfair but you know who you are if you came across us....thank you. Will there be a 9th visit? Well we certainly hope there will be.

This hotel is totally & utterly fantastic. The location perfect. Quiet & very relaxing indeed. The BUILDING WORKS are almost OVER ! Only down at the very front , where the bungalows are. Minimal noise. We stayed on the top floor ( 5th), having a superior sea view apartment. Was nothing short of fantastic. Fully equipped, safe ( we paid for it ), was spacious accommodation, very comfy beds ( twins pushed together ), a blanket which I loved as nights were alittle chilly ( November !), except the last night where it was 18 degrees ! Our balcony with a small table & 2 chairs was fantastic to look out across to the beautiful palm 🌴 trees , the sea & to see / hear the waves crashing in , the promenade and even saw a good 4 Cruise Ships 🚢 go cruising past ! Along with a Catamaran, fishing boats, a yacht and more. Was brilliant. Gorgeous sunrise 🌅 sunsets too. The Spa was lovely, heated indoor small pool , with loungers & steam/ sauna, treatment rooms & other water treatments too. Lovely Gym as well ! Empty ! We went in the pool most days , later and it was mostly quiet. No children about ! As its term time ! White robes & slippers were in our room , which made the holiday feel even more special to have them to get to the Spa and wear when we got up. Was bliss. The outdoor pool was spotlessly clean ! As was the area around it. I loved swimming 🏊‍♂️ in the outdoor pool as well as larger and most days had it to myself ! There is a gate at the bottom of the steps behind the pool area , that ( Using your room key to unlock 🔑 the gate ), takes you out onto a beautiful palm limed promenade ! Lovely places to sit and take in the waves , sea & scenery. One end a nice little cafe / bar with again great place to enjoy the scenery / sea / waves , open 2pm - 10pm every day. The other end , amazing views of the rockery cliffs , cove & a cafe / restaurant. A steep walk up steps from the promenade ( near the 1st cafe/ bar ) , leads you to a little hill , shops including a nice little supermarket & a bistro / 3 , we ate at 1 of them twice as they served Vegan food ! Was lovely. We don't drink often , but the Sangria was the best we've ever had ! Had to be tried ! Further up the hill is residential but we enjoyed the walk. We ate in the hotel the 1st night as we were tired from travelling, but NOT suitable for Vegans ! As only had 1 option / salad. Which was £16.50 for 1 serving. We took quite alot of our favourite stuff & found the local supermarket great for vegetables/ fruit / pasta/ sauces/ baked potatoes, Oat Milk & Soya Yoghurts, black / green olives , legumes, so that was great. We took advantage of the FREE shuttle bus , going to Funchal, we went at 10.30am , but got a taxi back for 25 Euros as missed the last bus ! But we didn't mind as had had a great , busy day in Funchal. The local bus & another small supermarket is just up the hill from the hotel reception. We also took the 8.5 Hour private coach tour , of the West Side of Madeira , leaving at 8.20am. We booked this through the Hotel & the driver / guide Raphael was a local , fantastic driving through the mountains, forest , towns & villages & his knowledge was incredible. Seeing the volcanic natural pools was just incredible and ( reminded me of Iceland 🇮🇸 in Feb 2023 ! ). A trip we just loved , saw & did soo much. ** NOT Suitabe if you've walking/ disabilities. We highly recommend this guide & tour. Incredible value at 35 Euros. Our next visit we're choosing the East Side of Madeira ! The hotel staff were brilliant, helpful , courteous & nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is utterly spotlessly clean & is infact an " ECO " Hotel winning an Award which we were so happy about as we're Eco too ! We were given brown towels to use in the Spa/ outside pool etc , oh hot tub outside too ! ( needs to be alittle warmer please 🙏) , don't lose the towels or you'll be charged 40 euros ! A few shops near reception selling basics & souvenirs , a small hair salon & nail studio too. ( Going next time to the salon as a hairdresser so it will be a nice treat ! ). Evening entertainment we're not fussed about as loved walking along the promenade again ( well lit & found very safe ) , but the last pm there was a small disco which I enjoyed for 10 mins before zzzz. I must say ; This hotel seems to cater for the older age group , not much for children tbh , which we found being 58 / 61 , suited us fine , as was just lovely & quiet , relaxing and we loved our apartment too , which was soo peaceful. Our expectations were exceeded with this hotel / area , so we've already booked the same accommodation for next November ! There are options btw , to go BB , HB , FB & AI but we were very happy having chosen to go self catering as we are Vegans ( health & ethical) , so suited us fine. A bottle of water was also put in our room daily. Another added bonus to this ❤️ hotel ; It's only a 20 Mins transfer from the Airport. Late checkout at 11am , picked up at 12.20pm but there is a locked storage room to leave your cases in , between waiting for your transfer back. A local tax btw of 14 Euros is payable upon arrival & would recommend you use the safe ( small charge) , for passport/ tickets / money / home key 🔑 & jewellery. A fantastic hotel, in a lovely quiet area & look forward to returning next year. Thank you. ❤️ ( Ps we were given an upgrade upon our arrival ! After my concerns about the building works ,which are almost done ! ). Turned out the best accommodation/ views so that's what we've booked for next year ! I would recommend though they cater for Vegans in the restaurant, offering more than just 1 dish / salad , should you wish to eat there every night. We didn't visit the pool /snack bar.

We stayed for the first 2 weeks of November 2024. We were very impressed with the hotel when we arrived. The staff were very courteous and helpful, our favourite was Lilianna, very helpful and friendly. We were only ten minutes from the airport but we didn't get any aircraft flying above us. The room was spacious, clean and balcony was a little small but we had room to sit out and play dominoes and a drink, we had a side view of the sea. The restaurant had everything that you would need, for breakfast and dinner, all self service but the food was absolutely fantastic. The pool area was spacious and plenty of beds, best of all there were no children....Maderia is mainly for adults as there are no beaches. Yes, I would recommend this hotel, you won't be disappointed.

“Gluten Free at the Views Oasis.”

This hotel lived up to all of my expectations apart from some of the attitudes to my coeliac disease. I contacted them beforehand to check about the gluten free area I had read about. I was advised that there was a toaster available for GF use and to ask for GF bread etc at breakfast. Initially the first few days at the evening meal I felt so uncomfortable having to chase around after the staff in the restaurant asking for available choices. It did seem that the Chef on duty was above that and I was fobbed off to others. First morning, no toaster but after I pressed they did put one out. There was a GF basket provided with croissant, bread and muffins which were delicious. I must praise Claudio in the kitchen and the waitresses. He took great pains to explain the foods on offer at the buffet and provided me with a dessert from.the kitchen. I loved the hotel, the rooms were spotless and had an enjoyable week once I mastered the Gluten Free maze. Would I visit again as a coeliac? Most definitely.
