We stayed at Sesimbra Oceanfront Hotel for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience! The location is just perfect and the panoramic views from the room straight to the Atlantic Ocean are some of the best we had in Portugal. There’s also an infinity pool with an equally gorgeous view to the beach/ocean which makes it perfect to relax after a swim in the beach or if you think the water of the ocean is too cold. We had dinner at the restaurant (MarLuso) every night and highly recommend you to try it out, especially the “local fish tacos with salsa verde”, the “tiger prawns pica-pau” and the “red scarlett tape curry with coconut milk and kaffir lime”. Everyone at the hotel was super welcoming and always ready to help with anything we needed. We had a memorable stay and we will definitely return one day!

I would say it’s the best hotel to stay in Sesimbra in terms of location and ammenities (pool, paid parking €20pd, direct beach access, on site restaurant). You’ll be glad of the pool as the sea water is FREEZING even in August. The Deluxe Sea View room was total oceanfront and quite large, albeit mainly empty space so probably not necessary for a single or couple. You also don’t get a choice between a twin or double room unless you upgrade again. Nevertheless the room was clean and well styled. Staff pleasant. It’s a bit of a rough diamond though. In my room the mini bar didn’t really work, the air con made a loud banging noise (which I reported and wasn’t fixed) and there was some rising damp on one wall. I would stay again but I’d be more cautious about what I paid. Ps I originally booked direct online with the hotel with a credit card on a non refundable rate. All confirmed via email. Weeks later I was emailed asking for bank transfer as the final payment as they didn’t have international credit card facilities on site. I ended up having to cancel the booking and go again via a third party site at a higher rate. Really annoying because they absolutely do have international card facilities on site.

We spent two nights here. The hotel is huge and recently renovated, right on the oceanfront. Great views. Large rooms, comfy beds. The first night we couldnt sleep until 2am because of the crazy crows partying in the bar right under our room. Avoid the lower level rooms and ask for rooms as high up as possible. Breakfast was okay with lackluster service. Pool area is very small for such a large hotel and the water is freezing cold - but you have the beach right in front of you, why go to the pool? Parking is provided with direct access via elevator into the hotel. This is for sure not a five star hotel but solid four stars. We got a good deal on the rooms and would come book again should we ever return to Sesimbra.
