You guys are incredible and the whole experience was outstanding. We had a one week stay. We tried the menue back to front and the tasty and delicious food was presented as an eyecatcher and we really enjoyed each dinner. The helpful, friendly and always available service made us drop the jaws. The room was comfortable and superb clean. We loved it so much that the noise of the traffic was no issue anymore 😀 We sure be back again and enjoy the ocean view and that experience again. Fully recommend your hotel as a perfect hideaway. What worked: *Extremely warm, friendly and helpful staff * The fantastic rooftop pool with water at a comfortable temperature and spectacular sea views of Estoril & Cascais. *Quiet bedroom on the 5th floor despite the location of the hotel on a busy road. What didn’t work: *On check-in the desk clerk forgot to take a card deposit which caused an undue fuss when we ordered a drink at the pool * Unbelievably irritating in room light controls *The air conditioning was difficult to set *The rooms and the bathroom are small for the cost (I appreciate Estoril is a premium location). *On the first evening we wanted to have a drink on the roof terrace, but were informed it was closed because they had to set dinner tables. It was a blisteringly hot evening. The only alternative offered was the indoor ground floor bar. After some gentle persuasion the staff capitulated. *Pool access only from 0900 which prevented an early swim option. In fact on the second morning we couldn’t access the pool until nearly 0915; no towels available until 0945. *Pool piped music is way too loud and extremely intrusive. Is it really necessary to have it on all day, all the time? *Incorrect bill submitted at the pool which had a food item we hadn’t ordered. Subsequently corrected. *Room not cleaned on third day. Overall it seems to me that there are some very idiosyncratic policies which are management driven, and the ergonomics in room are form over substance. A second visit is unlikely, albeit we are frequent visitors to this area.
