Hotel is in a nice location but you’ll need either a car or Uber ( Bolt) to go to historic part or marina . Staff are amazing and very very helpful. Hotel is in a nice location but you’ll need either a car or Uber ( Bolt) to go to historic part or marina . Staff are amazing and very very helpful. We needed our room changed because toilet wasn’t flushing and they helped us immediately. Beds are old and I felt I was lying down on a sack filled with hay. Zero soundproofing ( I could hear urinating and snoring from next room , toilet flushing from rooms above and next to us). The view was great and A/C is super loud even if your neighbours are using it. The swimming pools are great and breakfast is mediocre at best Price was reasonable as we didn’t use Booking.com for the first time in years.

“Just OK for a few days, NOT a holiday hotel”

In general everything is just a little dated and lacking. It's an OK hotel for an OK few days, designed maybe for business more than pleasure. I think if you book here for more than a few nights or if you're planning to make it the hub of your holiday, honestly I'd spend a little more and stay so... more

In general everything is just a little dated and lacking. It's an OK hotel for an OK few days, designed maybe for business more than pleasure. I think if you book here for more than a few nights or if you're planning to make it the hub of your holiday, honestly I'd spend a little more and stay somewhere else. Spoke to a few other guests who felt the same. I think they were maybe training up new staff at the start of the season, so I'll give them a little grace. That said, the staff were either really inexperienced, or the older longer serving members seemed tired and frustrated, and in general they just didn't seem to understand the concept that people were there for a holiday / to have fun. E.g. the pool bar was mostly closed (weather wasn't amazing but there were still people outside), they made a big thing about taking glasses outside, as if nobody had ever wanted to take a beer outside to sit by the pool before, even though I told them that was my intention before they poured it. When the outdoor bar was open there was no music or anything to create a holiday vibe. The pool area tbh was not very clean, weeds growing through the patios in places, bottoms of feet were dirty after walking back from the pool. Just felt really flat out there. Indoor pool was fine. Breakfast was very average, hot food was a bit rubbish so I just stuck to bread and cheese, and a few pastries. Definitely not a huge choice. Juice all tasted cheap and nasty, and same with the coffee unfortunately. Room was OK, but the fridge was crazy noisy to the point we switched it off a few times. Perhaps just our room, who knows! They do run a free shuttle into Cascais a few times a day, which is a decent touch so I'll give them that. Even though there's nothing disastrously bad, I struggle to think of anything good, and it's not a cheap hotel for the experience you get back.
