We only have positive things to say regarding FSV as it has been our winter bolthole now for 25 years. The quality of furnishings in the apartments is first class and the staff are so friendly and welcoming.The weather in the Algarve in the winter is a huge bonus for us as in November February and March temperatures average 20-21 degrees.

“Home from home”

I have been going to four seasons vilamoura for about 35 years now and have been very satisfied with my visits. I have been going to four seasons vilamoura for about 35 years now and have been very satisfied with my visits. Its like coming home each time I go the staff are absolutely marvelous they can't do enough for you nothing is to much trouble. Would recommend it to anyone. “Familiar standards”

Once again, spot on for friendly, familiar staff, and the apartments are getting better with the continued attention to detail and repairs. There is a big refurb of the big pool, so lots of work going on with diggers, but you are warned about that it's got to happen and the end result will be great… more

Once again, spot on for friendly, familiar staff, and the apartments are getting better with the continued attention to detail and repairs. There is a big refurb of the big pool, so lots of work going on with diggers, but you are warned about that it's got to happen and the end result will be great. Stayed for 2 weeks but could have stayed longer. Good to meet friends again and will be back next year. Only continuing gripe please get Draught Guinness it will sell.....a lot.

As club members of several years we look forward to our visits in early November and have enjoyed the quieter, less strenuous time prior to the build up to the hectic Christmas period. The quieter time of year is also the time when regular maintenance works are undertaken and club members are used to a certain amount of minor disruption during the stay as this is necessary to maintain the buildings and environs to a high standard. Unfortunately, this year we were notified several weeks in advance that we were to be subjected to a major civil engineering project involving the demolition of the upper outdoor swimming pool as it was leaking. Due to the late notification we were left without the option of putting our weeks on exchange with RCI as we would have receive minimum exchange points and we could not cancel or amend our flights without incurring financial loss. Senior management refused to respond to my repeated e-mail communications and basically absolved themselves of any responsibility in relation to engaging in any dialogue or discussion. The result was that on our arrival on Saturday 9th November we were welcomed by a hydraulic breaker on a tracked excavator breaking out rocks. We were then subjected to similar activity on an ongoing basis from 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Saturday inclusive. The following week building activities with concrete blocks, cement mixers, cut-off saws etc took place again from 9.00am until 5.00pm Monday to Saturday. Basically, we were living in close proximity to a fully operational construction site with high noise levels, high dust levels and flying pieces of debris from the hydraulic breaker. The bottom line was that we did not eat in the FSV resort and ate out every night in restaurants around the marina. We used the indoor pool for an early morning swim before works commenced. We eventually spent a few hours sunbathing on the sun terrace directly above the restaurant which was relatively unaffected by dust form the works. The only positive that we could take from our visit was that all members of the FSV operational team were superb in discharging their duties whilst under extreme pressure resulting from the disruption caused by the poorly communicated major works. Special mention to all of the front desk staff particularly Anna, Judith, Tony, Louis, and the restaurant team particularly Paulo and Andres. These members of staff bore the brunt of the annoyance and anger that the major construction works created and they have our wholehearted support and sympathies. The notification we had passed to us on our arrival indicated that works will be ongoing until March 2025. i would suggest that anyone booked should check on the situation before heading off but hopefully the worst has passed.
