We arrived late (2230) into Vilamoura and could not find anyone at the Garvetur Office. We rang the telephone number on the sundew but no response. Had it not been for our very helpful & friendly Hoppa taxi driver who made a number of enquiries & calls, we might still be standing there now:) However, over the next couple of days we came to really appreciate the location and generous size of the apartment. Everything inside was modern, extremely clean with effective air conditioning. Our balcony faced direction of The Crowne Plaza and got early morning sun only due to not being top floor. In terms of an evening, only 5ish minutes to Tivoli by the Marina. The pool area is accessed by a gate with our key playing up a bit....scruffy with only half a dozen sun beds that had clearly seen better days. The apartments are only 5 mins from the beach anyway therefore we gave pool area a miss as we were only booked in 5 nights... Overall an excellent location and good value for money.

Firstly the bad points just to get them out of the way. Could do with a new mattress, a bit lumpy. Firstly the bad points just to get them out of the way. Could do with a new mattress, a bit lumpy. The shower didn’t adjust properly so you had to hold it to get a decent shower & the bathroom ceiling was just what looked like bed slats, you could see through to the pipe work above which was a little creepy for my daughter & myself. No major problems though. Now for the good points of which there are plenty. Well fitted out kitchen with everything you could need. Tiled throughout so nice & cool. Very large rooms. The apartment was spotlessly clean with very good sheets & towels. The communal areas were clean with a little lift to reach the higher floors. We requested a street view as we like to people watch but in hindsight I think a pool view would be better as it could be noisy at night. Balcony was big enough to chill with a nice drink & outdoor furniture was provided. Not much sun on the balcony so if the sun is your thing request a top floor balcony. Swimming pool was clean. Not the prettiest of pool areas but fine for a dip to cool down & sunbathing. Check in was quick & easy & we were lucky to get the keys early. The very best thing about these apartments are the location. Just a five minute walk to the marina & with restaurants, bars, coffee shops, a spar & a tobacconist/off license literally just downstairs. We are booking again for September as the location of these apartments far outweigh the little problems. Overall an excellent value apartment Block in an excellent position.

These apartments are very dated but spacious and extremely clean. They have everything you need for a week away especially if you plan on eating out most of the time. They are in quieter part but still an easy ten minute walk to the beach and Marina. Be aware that there is no reception at the hotel… more

These apartments are very dated but spacious and extremely clean. They have everything you need for a week away especially if you plan on eating out most of the time. They are in quieter part but still an easy ten minute walk to the beach and Marina. Be aware that there is no reception at the hotel so if you are arriving late you need to contact the hotel directly to let them know. We arrived at 22.30ish and then had to ring a number for someone to come and give us the key, it was a bit inconvenient but only waited about fifteen minutes for them to meet us. Also, we had a late flight home so enquired about keeping the room on. We were told that was fine as nobody was coming in after us however they wanted 55 Euros for the privilege 😳 naturally we declined! We would definitely return but hopefully with better flight times.
