“Had an OK stay, but won’t go back”

I don’t really know where to start. We had multiple complaints during our stay. 1. The service is lacking in every part of the hotel except from the reception. Everything is extremely slow. After waiting more than 45 minutes for two beers one day, I just cancelled and went on about my day. You expect more at a 5* hotel. 2. The service charge: when you pay a whopping 10 % EXTRA for everything you order, your stay becomes unnecessarily expensive. Our tip bill alone for the 10 day stay was more than €110. This is not optional… 3. Allergies in the restaurant: So many things were wrongly marked as containing gluten, when it obviously had none (fresh fruits, juices, ice creams, yogurts). I had one employee go check for me, and he said it didn’t contain any. I asked them to fix the little cards - they didn’t. They also put the bacon on top of bread to soak fat, which is unnecessary and makes it even harder for someone with allergies. 4. The little onsite super market was not allowed to sell beverages because of the bar in the hotel, making a Coke about € 5,5. Water is expensive too. 5. Pool is colder than other hotels. 6. Gym could use a big upgrade. 7. The food in the pool bar could use an upgrade. Positives: The rooms felt nice and mostly clean, towel changes every day. Large bed. Air condition worked very well. I think we had the absolute best location for our room, with it sitting right on the pool deck. Reception area was very well kept and staff were friendly and helpful. “DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE”

Where to begin!! This hotel is not only tired, its positively exhausted. It needs a total overhaul. Staff are clearly untrained and rudderless. The Superior Sea View accommodation is shocking in its basic uncomfortable beds and furniture. Fridge that did not work nor the air conditioning. As for the bathroom, well, they have been cheaply patched up with moulding mastic around the bath and wc, metal door straps to hide rotting wooden doors, slapdash paintwork, threadbare bathrobes which have seen better days and should be disposed of and not even considered for paying guests to wear, appalling. Now to the bar, another area of filthy, smelly, uncomfortable furniture in a dark dingy room devoid of any atmosphere. Cushions spilling out their fibre filling all over the place. Guest sitting on the chairs in their swimwear covered in sun lotion watching the UEFA football no wonder the furniture was filthy and smelly, background music playing along with the football commentary and the live singer outside, all at the same time vying for attention, absolute shambles. As for breakfast, well there are no words for how uninspiring and disappointing that was. Limited fruit selection, limited bread selection, processed cheese, processed meat, tinned mushrooms !? holes in table cloths, abysmal . Is this a 5 Star hotel? No it certainly is not, it is questionable even at 4 Star level. Atrocious and never again will we consider BA holidays and their questionable star ratings.

“Afro Nation concert weekend stay”

We found that the hotel wasn’t what we expected, based on the online advert. Customer service for a start was poor, food; not much of a variety from day to day was the same recycled food and not much to choose from, like in the main menu which doesn’t present value for money!
