So we arrived at the Luar Hotel and were greeted by such friendly staff. First impressions were that the hotel was very dated, but our room was clean with everything we needed, cleaned every day with clean linen and towels. Breakfast was nice, good start to the day! Pool area was lovely, always a lounger to relax on. The bar was great, excellent service and not too expensive. Location was amazing, literally on the beach, with stunning walks along the beach in both directions. I’d recommend using Uber, such a cheap and quick way to venture out to see the beautiful surroundings. Over all, for the money, a pleasant relaxing stay, thank you.

My wife and I (both early 60s) spent a lovely, relaxing week here towards the end of Sept. The hotel is conveniently situated a few dozen yards from the "Strip" where you can find as many bars, cafes, restaurants and shops as you could want. The hotel itself is in a very quiet place. The staff were very helpful and polite and all spoke very good English. Several reviews here have mentioned that the hotel is a little tired and that may be true but our room was perfectly fine and just what we needed Housekeeping came every day. We didn't come here to stare at the furniture but to enjoy the area. Breakfast was well sufficient for our needs and plenty of it. The hotel has a poolside bar which which served all our liquid needs and also did snacks (shout out to Joe behind the bar). Be warned that the snacks (toasties etc) are huge and you could easily share one between two. Could do with more sunbeds and yes, there were many people who put towels on the sunbeds early on and then disappeared until the afternoon but you get these morons everywhere. The reception staff sorted our return transfer to the airport at 2 am. Would definitely return here in the future. Thanks to all the staff who worked tirelessly.

“Friendly,clean hotel”

The hotel room was basic,it was clean.just what we needed.The staff were friendly. The breakfast was the same every morning.i got abit fed up of scrambled egg,bacon.It would of been nice to of had more of a variety.i would return as it was clean,and very good location to the beach and restaurant.

Great location, we had been here in June 2022 and had no complaints, however this year Sept 2024 the cleanliness of the rooms not so good, we were here for 10nights and only had our bed linen changed once, towels were changed twice and for the last four days of our stay towels werent changed, bins got emptied but that was it, the floors werent swept inside or in the balcony. The fridge was very dusty and hadnt been wiped down the balcony door was dirty with what looked like grease wasnt like it was in 2022 when it was swept and moped every day and towels especially were replenished more often, love the location and the staff are ok, but i think it may be a change in hotel next year. Its very quiet around the pool, no music and no pool attendant which is a bit of a concern, the towel being put on beds early in the morning by guest is a pain as there isnt many sunbeds, we saw people put their towels on beds and they headed out of hotel and didnt come back for some time, its not the best trying to get around the pull, we only managed once in the 10 days to get 2 sunbeds. There is a place called Intermarche on the strip in behind the shops on the strip, you need to look above the shops for the sign, its a supermarket so cheap and a very nice shop so much cheaper than the Spars, its like a Tesco but cheaper, sells all the foods you need plus toiletries just as ive said its like Tesco. Sells alcohol aswel which again is cheaper than the other shops. Love the location of the Luar as its near the cliff walks. Cleanliness is key for any stay and this year we were disappointed
