We absolutely love Cascade and have just come back from our 3rd stay in 3 years. Having first stayed as a couple when I was pregnant and then the last 2 years staying with our daughter. We cannot fault this resort. It’s perfect. The hotel room was beautiful with a huge balcony when we stayed in the hotel in 2022. The last 2 years we have had a one bedroom apartment which has been so spacious, clean and very well presented. A high chair is provided for us in the apartment which is great. The kitchen is very generous size with a big fridge freezer and oven, microwave etc. Perfect for travelling a with a young child. It is never overcrowded, there’s plenty of space at the pool. The spa pool is a hidden gem! We spent most of our time this year and last year by the sandy bottom pool which is perfect for children. There are buckets and spades etc there, which is a lovely touch. The breakfast buffet is incredible and is my favourite part of our stay everytime. Everyone at the hotel is so friendly, welcoming and professional. Nothing is too much of a bother for them and they are all so amazing with our daughter. We especially want to acknowledge and thank Mario in the gastropub and also his female colleague (who sadly we didn’t get the name of but she served us a couple of times and was fantastic with our daughter. She has long brown hair in a pony tail, glasses and braces on her teeth. Such a lovely young woman). The location is perfect, up on the cliffs, so peaceful, it’s idyllic. Near enough for a walk into Lagos in the mornings whilst our baby napped. This is honestly our favourite place to stay as a family and we cannot wait to come again next summer for the 4th time! Thank you so much to everyone at cascade for yet another fantastic stay.

She was very engaging and we had fun joking with her while she looked after us. All the staff we encountered were exceptional. The choices at breakfast covered every possible wish, vegan, vegetarian, non dairy, all meat - whatever the heart desired! Thank you Excellent! Kirsten Vancouver Canada

“Needs refurbishment and improvement in cleaning standards”

We have admittedly high standards when it comes to resort hotels. Unfortunately, despite what appeared to be their best efforts, Cascade Wellness just didn't meet the mark. Our first apartment (#511) was very disappointing-- a long walk to the main dining areas/pools with a view of the roundabout, combined with worn/dirty furnishings, dirty linens and black mildew rampant in the shower areas. We were disappointed enough that for only the 2nd time in my life, we requested a room change. The second apartment (#1111) was an improvement in terms of cleanliness/pool access. Overall, however, this resort needs refurbishment. The carpets/couches/draperies in both apartments need to be deep cleaned to remove stains and the furniture is noticeably dented and scratched. In the three days we spent poolside, the pool bar by the 'sand' pool never opened (we were there in mid-June and the pool was in use by many people). Landscaping does not appear to be watered regularly and walkways between buildings were in need of repair. We only ate at the hotel once after being unimpressed with our lunch, preferring either to go out and order via UberEats. The front desk, however, did try to be helpful, providing good restaurant recommendations and, after moving us, checking to see if the new apartment was an improvement. Bottom line, this is not a 5 star, or even a 4 star, resort.

“Family Holiday - 2 adults and 3 teenagers”

Unfortunately this would not be a place I would return. We travelled as two adults and three teenagers and stayed in a two bed apartment. The previous reviews are very true to their word. My two teenage boys had football boots/kits packed for this break to use the football pitches as shown in photos. On arriving I asked about when they can use the pitches and told no they are not available to use by guests! Asked how this can be and told they were booked all day and all night. We had arrived at 1pm and told we would be texted when our room is ready. We ended up going back to the reception that evening after getting no text and the keys were provided. Our boys went to the reception to get tennis rackets to play tennis, after hiking down to the tennis courts (good walk) it started to rain/thunder so they came back. Later the evening we were called to the reception to say we had a €15 bill to pay for the use of the rackets. Our apartment was located right next to the football pitches so the boys could look at the pitch which was used for 3 hours on the first morning and not a sinner on it again for the week. The apartment are dated and the air conditioning didn't work in the bedroom, the press handles are dirty and the fridge made a piercing alarm noise that would keep you awake at night. Like similar reviews the shower gel containers were empty from arriving to leaving. Did I complain, no, nothing was enough to make me want to stand at a reception and waste hours of my holidays. We got out most mornings and stayed out for the day. I thought it would be the opposite in this resort. The main building was very nice but we only walked through it really. The boys did enjoy the games room and thankfully I didn't have to pay for the rental of the cue and balls! I always rate accommodate relative to the cost of the stay and unfortunately would not rate this highly. If you are going to stay here, the locations is great for walks and the beach, and Lagos is a lovely place to visit.
