Placid village was absolutely great. The 'village' is ideal for walking into Carvoeiro. We walked back most days but did use a taxi once which was 4 euros. The accommodation was lovely. Placid village was absolutely great. The 'village' is ideal for walking into Carvoeiro. We walked back most days but did use a taxi once which was 4 euros. The accommodation was lovely. Very clean, plenty of space. We didn't realise that each day we would return to the beds made, the bathroom cleaned & the floors mopped. For me, the it was a total break from housework! The accommodation also had a modern wood burner, which we used, even though the air con did it's job, it was lovely later in the evening to look at a roaring fire. Not a criticism, hanging space in the laundry room or boiler room would be very useful I would certainly recommend staying here. I'm sure we will be back.

“Lovely Stay in Carvoeiro Placid Village”
Great place with lots of room for 7 of us. Great views and exceptionally clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms well stocked and bedrooms had ample storage for luggage. Pool was clean with lots of deck chairs. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy to walk to Carvoeiro. Would love to return 🌞

Recently 21 people flew out to Portugal for my vow renewal.We all stayed at Placid village in 3 three bed apartments. The cleanliness and overall maintenence was excellent . The apartments were furnished with everything you could possibly need.The pool area was lovely. The helpfulness of the staff .Paulo and Joandro were 2nd to none .I cannot speak highly enough of them ,without their help from little things like irons to bigger things like transport .The whole experience wouldn't have been the same . I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone thinking of going to Caveiro

“Great location close to a beautiful town”
I stayed at Placid Village for 3 nights with my 2 teenagers in a 2 bedroom suite. It was a very large suite with more than enough space for us. A second washroom and laundry were amazing to have. I stayed at Placid Village for 3 nights with my 2 teenagers in a 2 bedroom suite. It was a very large suite with more than enough space for us. A second washroom and laundry were amazing to have. We didn't cook but noticed that the kitchen was well stocked. Kids enjoyed a bit of wind down time at the pool each night. We had a rental car and had no problems getting around. Carvoeiro is a beautiful town, and the area even more amazing to explore. We took a boat tour that drove aling the shore and went inside many amazing caves including the Benagil Cave. Algar Seco is also within walking distance along a beautiful boardwalk from town. Another bonus, there is roof access at Plaid Village so if you aren't at the sea shore for sunset, you can watch it from up there.

We loved it. We went as a family with our two adult daughters and it was perfect. Cleaned everyday with fresh towels as and when required. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. Although it is realistically a 15/20 minute walk to the beach the hotel will book a taxi for you which is there within 5 minutes and cost us no more than 5 euros. Also really easy to get a taxi back at anytime. The pool is quite small but it never seemed busy and we always got a sunbed. We will definitely return xxx
