“Very pleasant return visit….”
We’ve stayed here a number of times and have always found the welcome warm and the staff throughout are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. We’ve stayed here a number of times and have always found the welcome warm and the staff throughout are unfailingly pleasant and helpful. We like the size of suite in the main hotel and the huge balconies. Rooms/suites have everything you could want including a kitchenette fully kitted out. The bar is reasonably priced and breakfast has a great selection of buffet items which are constantly replenished. Resort needs a little updating in places as it was built some years ago and nothing that spoils guest enjoyment. Has a nice pool area and outdoor space throughout. Ample parking on site and never seems to get too crowded. Resort is some way from Carvoeiro town but walkable in twenty minutes or so, maybe a bit more up the hill on the way back! There are a number of restaurants some ten minutes walk away with a good selection of food but are very popular so wise to book ahead. Enjoyable resort and will return again soon.

“Wonderful holiday!”
Our first time staying at Monte Santo and we had a fantastic holiday! We stayed in Townhouse 103, loads of space, comfortable furnishings, lovely outdoor areas to sit out with a drink, can’t fault it! Our first time staying at Monte Santo and we had a fantastic holiday! We stayed in Townhouse 103, loads of space, comfortable furnishings, lovely outdoor areas to sit out with a drink, can’t fault it! The villa was spotlessly clean, very well soundproofed, couldn’t hear a thing from other people. Housekeeping comes in every day, general tidy up and fresh towels when needed and clean linen every few days. The staff are friendly we had a couple of small things that needed sorted after arrival and within half an hour of calling reception, a member of staff was at our door and the problem was resolved. Used the pool and facilities multiple times, and enjoyed a massage at the spa. Would 100% recommend!

“Not up to usual standard”
We've stayed here a few times & always found it a very good hotel, however this time wasn't up to usual standard. We were in a townhouse which last time was fantastic but this one was quite dated which surprised us. Kitchen was missing essentials such as a chopping board which made food prep hard!… more
We've stayed here a few times & always found it a very good hotel, however this time wasn't up to usual standard. We were in a townhouse which last time was fantastic but this one was quite dated which surprised us. Kitchen was missing essentials such as a chopping board which made food prep hard! There was no clothes airer to hang washing out which we've had before and the pillows were so uncomfortable! Probably worst pillows I've ever had. The patio door was also broken but this got fixed quickly. Lots of small things but not what you expect for 5 stars. The hotel facilities are very good though, lovely grounds & good location. Other hotels are better though so not sure we'd stay there again.

“Friendly staff, good location, would return.”
We stayed in the self catering townhouses, which are beautifully kept and well equipped. Staff were all lovely, but scarce. Hotel was quiet, clean but in need of some money spent on it, especially on the grounds. I had the anti-stress massage, by Carlos and it was honestly one of the best massages … more

Hotel was quiet, clean but in need of some money spent on it, especially on the grounds. I had the anti-stress massage, by Carlos and it was honestly one of the best massages I've ever had. So for that alone, I'd return.

“Overall Happy, some small bits need attention”
We stayed here 13th - 20th of Feb, ground floor apartment, accommodation was nice, very spacious and clean. Facilities were good, indoor pool, Sauna and steam room all nice, gym was fine, last day the power was out, so couldn't use the facilities, which is a bit frustrating when you've paid for them. Hotel a bit dated, needs some TLC, roof leaking in indoor pool, lockers not working in changing room, shower heads busted, small things really but needs some attention. Breakfast amazing. Overall enjoyed our stay, would recommend.
