The perfect place to detox from life! Tranquil, beautiful, and charming. Not for those with mobility issues, as there can be lots of steps and hills. Taxis are easily ordered thought to get up and down the hill to the beach. Perfect place if you want to get away from it all.

We stayed at the View and highly recommend though it must be pointed out that it would be unsuitable for disabled people as there are many steps and levels. As the name suggests the view is amazing. The pool area is clean and immaculately maintained - with 3 pools and a smashing pool for small children. There is no restaurant or shop in site or even a reception area that is open so please be aware if you book. The restaurant is there but apparently has never opened. Please also note for anyone with mobility issues- it is at the top of the steepest hill and without a car could be a huge problem without a reasonable fitness. We had no car so went down once a day as I found the hill a challenge though the younger members skipped up like mountain goats ! So in a nutshell - highly recommended but care if mobility issues

We had an extended stay in a 3-bedroom villa. It was spacious and the beds were great. The pool for the complex is lovely. The actual golf resort is located some distance away. I had the impression the resort cafes and restaurants are slowly reopening after the pandemic. There is nothing open in the villa complex, but plenty of good restaurants are located in town which is about a ten minute walk downhill. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful.

First time visiting Portugal and wanted a quiet and peaceful holiday. We travelled as a group of 5 girls and stayed in apartment 20. The transfer from Faro Airport was just over an hour. The grounds of The View itself are lovely, clean and well maintained. Our apartment was lovely, it had three balconies, kitchen with everything you needed to cook, comfy beds and clean bathrooms with hot water. There were also books, boardgames, toiletries and other basic things provided. It had a rooftop terrace with sunbeams and a BBQ was also provided which was a nice touch! Really happy with the accommodation and would recommend and go again. We were located at the top of a large hill - wouldn't recommend The View for people with mobility issues - and it was confusing as there are SO many apartments, it was confusing which were part of the View and which weren't. The View is located near a beach, which was lovely and not overly busy and provides watersports, massages and snacks. At the bottom of the hill there are two supermarkets, one which sells fresh baked goods every morning, and fresh fruit and fish are also available. There is a small selection of restaurants, which offer fresh fish, pizza, meats etc however apart from that there is nothing else around. Its the perfect place if you want to escape from life, and an ok place as a base to explore - however you would need to hire a car. The only confusing issue was the fact that the 'Golf & Spa' were part of another resort an hour away, and even our taxi driver got the two confused. We were given wristbands for the spa, however didn't fancy the hour or so drive to have to go and explore this. The complex itself would benefit from a restaurant and even a bar and could make so much more money! The View itself wasn't even that busy which was lovely. A lovely stay, however slightly confusing between the two complex's but would stay again! Staff all lovely and helpful :)
