Arrived late at night to a friendly helpful receptionist. The room/studio apartment was a good size with a small kitchenette which was more than enough for our week's break. We were located to the side of the building so no sea view (would not hesitate to stay here again but would pay extra for a sea front room) and only a small balcony but this didnt spoil the visit at all. The rooftop pool was not functioning but the roof terrace had amazing views and was great for lying in the sun without getting sand in your shoes ! Could stay up there all day! The beach was literally a stones throw away across the road and plenty of restaurants and bars along the promenade. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and really cannot fault this hotel at all.

Another lovely stay in the Algar at the end of May beg of June for 9 days. Could only get a side room when booking but on arrival Janet was able to book us into a refurbished sea view room ( bit of an extra cost ) but we were delighted. Although check in time is not until the afternoon we arrived about 11 and our room was ready. Staff are great thank you Janet, Claudia and Miguel. Also a mention for Tamara our cleaner always a smile and remembered us from previous visits. Would highly recommend and hope to return in a few months time.

“Beautiful beach sea view”

Excellent well equipped apartment. V spacious & immaculate. Cleaned every day if you want. Good shower/hand rails. Security good as passes for lift & main entrance after midnight. Not sure how it goes if you arrive after midnight. So I would check that. Drop off by shuttle bus is a 7 min walk away … more

Excellent well equipped apartment. V spacious & immaculate. Cleaned every day if you want. Good shower/hand rails. Security good as passes for lift & main entrance after midnight. Not sure how it goes if you arrive after midnight. So I would check that. Drop off by shuttle bus is a 7 min walk away at The Hotel Holiday Inn as there is a promenade walkway down the avenue but cars can get in. The hotel apartment is near the end of the walkway before you turn the corner. Beds & bedding extremely comfortable. Full cooker, fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee maker & plenty pans, utensils, glasses etc. Good supermarket on doorstep & Lidl 10 mins. Plenty of places to eat for all tastes & budgets. Soo inexpensive to self cater & €1 for a coffee in the wee places nearby. Not very commercial so if it’s a quiet break with stunning beach on the doorstep you want yes! If you want to party no! There’s a wee choo choo tour bus just nearby & worth €4 to get an idea of the surrounding area. Reception can organise trips & they are also very helpful Thank you for a wonderful stay Algar.

“No complaints”

Our third visit .Hotel is spotless throughout. The apartment has everything you need for a home from home stay ,the only thing missing is a washing machine or on site laundry. Perfect location bars restaurant s a stones throw away
