This was my 8th visit to this hotel and it never disappoints, for all inclusive you can’t beat it quality food all day long and nice drinks, check in has changed since my last visit which is now 4 o’clock and check out at 11am, the location is fantastic some very good and friendly bars and restaurants close by and the marina and old town all in walking distance as is the most beautiful beach just a 10 mins stroll down. Thanks to Richard the restaurant manager who’s always around if needed and boo boo from the bar and restaurant, we didn’t have the best weather this time in march but we’re back in June, thanks to all the Sao Rafael suites staff

Came as a group of 6 golfers and had a great stay at these suites. 2 rooms accommodated 3 people in each room and they were very spacious, with two balconies and two shower rooms. We had all inclusive and there was plenty of food throughout that was varied and a decent level. There’s a couple of pools and gym/spa. We played two games of golf which was 40 mins ago and well worth shelling out for a private transfer to and from the course. We played Padel at a local club on one afternoon which was also very enjoyable

Good but not 5*. Stayed in a 2 bed suite. Our room (0118) was on the ground floor & was quite dark. The corridor leading to the room felt more like a service corridor. The room itself was ver spacious & initially, appeared to be clean. However, there was a pair of socks under one of the beds which didn’t belong to any of us & a towel on the balcony floor. Therefore, I question how thoroughly the rooms are cleaned. Can give benefit of doubt for the towel as it was quite windy so could have blown off the balcony above us, but socks are inexcusable. The food was good. Not a vast choice but what we had was good. Especially the warm pastels de nata at breakfast. The bar was good too. We found the staff to be pleasant & helpful. Albufeira was a short uber ride away. The nearby beaches were lovely with cliffs & rock formations. Stunning. I would definitely consider this hotel again if we visit the Algarve again.

We traveled in a big group of 25, tip: they do not like big groups nor do they like it when you make any noise. We got there early and they didn’t let us check into our rooms until 3pm, there is no shop in or around the area to get snacks as they frequently choose not to give all inclusive when you arrive. Mostly all of the staff were rude, all inclusive drinks end at 11pm in which then you have to buy them, the cleaners were stood in the corridors very lazily and did not clean our rooms frequently or thoroughly. We had no clean towels and no toilet tissue. The food was nice but not much of a variety to call it a 5 star, they definitely cheated the system to call it 5 stars.
