I had an absolutely wonderful family stay at the beautiful Nau Salgados Palace hotel. The staff was incredibly pleasant and accommodating throughout our visit. In particular, Joanna at the reception stood out with her exceptional professionalism and attention to detail. Her warm demeanor and efficient service made our stay even more enjoyable. The hotel's ambiance, amenities, and the level of hospitality exceeded our expectations. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you for providing such a memorable experience!

“Disappointing customer service”

Definitely not a 5* experience comparing to many other stays all over Europe. Hotel itself was clean and maintained well enough, but customer service is rather poor. I had booking made for a festival that took a place there and that came with only basic double room option , so on arrival I have asked if I may upgrade myself to one of the suites or presidential suite that they have to be told with a rather stern voice „ but there’s nothing wrong with your room”, I was really surprised by this answer so I asked again politely that I understand it might be, but do they still have any of the suites available as I still would prefer to upgrade which again answer was „ your room is very good”. At that point I just gave up as clearily the staff did not really care. And it just gone from there. I was given double room with twin bed that 2 single mattress were constantly separating and I was falling in the middle so it was definitely not a good night sleep throughout the stay. Room was located at backyard side so I could forget about any nice views as all could see was just some old not functioning pool with nasty green water in it between loads of palm trees. I was missing the “do not disturb” sign despite asking for it few times so I had rather abrupt wake up each morning by room service coming to clean but they couldn’t understand in English to come at later time or skip all together. Another issue was that original booking was made as B&B ( there was no other option to choose board type) which then u wanted to pay ahead on arrival at reception for all stay to make it all inclusive so I didn’t have to carry money/wallet with me at all times , just to be told at reception that they can’t do it as they’ll have to print new updated paper sheet for restaurant so I just have to come and pay wvery time I came for meal. Weirdly some people I’ve asked about it managed to get it done without any issue. Sorry but I call this lazy . Food was rather average, disappointing and bland and dry. Not to mention that I was “ordered” where to sit and places with strangers at a joint table rather to sit where I may just like and very much enjoy my own company- they tried to keep everything crammed to one side of the room. Sadly also they had weird orders from management as to what drinks/coctail menu is available to the festival members comparing to other guests and one that was , was very limited. ( Not to mention this type of festival does not invite heavily drinking people so there was absolutely no need to limit the menu. And never had any similar issues on any other festival locations ). Cherry on the top was that after ordering numerous Champagne bottles on one of the days and had amazing service from the lady called Maria ( she absolutely deserves 5*) , following days male bar members could not recognise difference between champagne and cheap Prosecco. And despite pointing the champagne name in the menu they were bringing the wrong bottles and after over an hour wait and staff bringing 3x of cheap Prosecco I just gave up ordering. You would think that 5* hotel would know the difference between those 2. I asked for spare 2 champagne glasses to take to my room to be told I need to call room service to bring me those. Hotel supposed to have 24hr room service but at evening time it looked as if phone was off the hook as you just could not get through for over 2 hours as it was constantly engaged so could not get the glasses to drink from . Must say it’s a first experience of mine where hotel staff does not care for hotel to earn extra money. Will I come back ? Definitely not. I rather go where am appreciated as a customer and feel welcomed and looked after no matter the price .

This hotel has a lot of potential, the room I stayed upon closer look was filthy, with spider cobwebs, it was so dusty that I had allergic reaction, the entire room including the bathroom was brown maybe to hide dirt and it was, Also the staff do not smile, the lady that checked us was worse, not even friendly at all, she did mention her English was bad but that’s not an excuse. The food was ok, it’s your normal buffet style, what I liked was generally it was hot and there was a microwave if you wanted to heat up your food..Also for a five star no bathrobe or slippers in the room, That being said the facilities are enough to have a good stay, the pool, the beach transfer, the spa, we managed to enjoy our stay despite all and it was nice for them to decorate the room for us
