“Lovely hotel and stay”

We were thrilled with our sea view room. It was clean, modern and the glass walls in which the bathroom was situated helped make the room large and airy. The view from our private balcony was stunning and we enjoyed leaving the patio door open just to listen to the sea. House keeping was excellent, we expected to have the bedding and towels changed on day two but we had three lots of clean towels over our four night stay. The room and bathroom were cleaned daily. We feel a kettle would have been the perfect touch. All the staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was tasty and filling. Hot food included eggs, bacon, tomato and courgette. Cereals, pastries, fruit and ham and cheeses with a large choice of fruit juices which were delicious and we enjoyed eating outside with the little birds. It was a quick 10mins walk to the Old Town and a 15mins ride on the road train to the Strip in New Town. It's a shame the cafe isn't open longer as it would have been nice to see the sun going down with a very reasonably priced beer! That being said, The Waterfront cocktail bar is next door with a bargain of 241 on any cocktails all day, so we enjoyed the sunset from there. There is also a delicious Italian restaurant nest to the bar. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back next year 🙂

Ok let's get the positives out the way,we stayed on the beach front hotel,make sure if your booking the INTATEL hotel that it's the beach sea view one as there are 2 hotels with that name,one is set back up the hill,a short walk.Our room overlooked the beach and the Atlantic Ocean,the view was beautiful and the room was quite good,cleaned every day, toilet door broke and wouldn't shut,no big deal I suppose,breakfast was ok , catering for all nationalities and was fine.Fot our evening meal we had to walk up the hill to the main INTATEL hotel for meal,we didn't care much for that and never bothered again. The main negatives are the Portuguese people who are probably the most miserable unhelpful none smiling people I have ever met,they don't seem to want to help you at all,from the receptionist to the staff and the cleaners ALL miserable,do they not like English? I won't be coming back to Portugal for this reason alone,which is a shame because Portugal is beautiful

“Had to change in 🚻 ”

I can't really fault this hotel everything is in walking distance but if I had one complaint it would be that on checkout they had no where to change into our clothes and had to changes in toilets 🚻 not except able for your guest should at least have somewhere to change into your clothes
