Just returned from 5 nights with friends. The hotel is in a great location, 15mins walk to the old town and beach. We stayed in a pool view apartment which was lovely, very clean and great size. The cake shop attached to the hotel was great, lovely cakes and a good selection of food, ate there 3 days out of 5. 2mins walk from the hotel is a large supermarket, across the road is KFC, McDonalds and a lovely Indian, which we went to on our last night. Recommend a boat trip to see the caves and dolphins, booked at the marina, 3/4 euros in an Uber, lots of different types of boats to choose from. After the trip we spent a few hours in Jacks Irish Bar at the marina, lovely cocktails and live music between 3-5pm. Also had a lovely breakfast in Fatcats at the marine before the trip. Spent all our nights in the old town, which had a great atmosphere, bar street was packed. Great doner kebab place of the square . Overall had a great holiday, weather was fab but very cold at night. Would definitely recommend Brisa Sol, cake shop and Portugal for a holiday.

Just home yesterday after a great week away. Hotel in a great location, big shop to the right, chemist across the road & old town a 10 min stroll. Hotel is brilliant, very quiet & relaxed. Bar snacks are very good and reasonably priced. We usually shared as they where big portions. Our room was cleaned every day and got fresh towels. We can't wait to return. Next time we will book for 10 days we had such a great stay. We where in 318 room was massive

Really lovely hotel, can’t fault this place! Shazam (apologies if spelt incorrectly) the bar staff & Mario are lovely staff members, really happy & friendly and very helpful. All the staff here are incredible but these two looked after us very well. The hotel is clean, good location, not too noisy but still has atmosphere. Every guest we met were very friendly & the rooms were spacious & clean. We can’t wait to come back & already looking into booking again. Thank you Brissa Sol you’ve been a dream

Great holiday at Albufeira and Brisa Sol Couples review, no children Location: Perfect 15 minute walk from Old Town and 30 from New Town. €10 euro in a tuc tuc (standard price) or €5 in a taxi ! …… we only learnt this the last day There is a supermarket next door literally a few steps away and it’s brilliant. You can get everything you need and more from in there. There’s also food and a bar with a beautiful view on the top level. Rooms: Outdated but very clean and fine. Beds not the comfiest but generally ok. You’re provided with bathroom towels, linen, and toilet roll. So make sure you bring or buy everything else (beach towels etc) There is a TV in the room but only a few English channels and some music channels. The tv channels lost signal around day two, not sure why ! There is a safe in the room but you do need to pay for the lock There is free WiFi but it isn’t great, I mainly used my own 3G Pool: Pool is nice but very cold in June. The pool bar is CASH ONLY. If you make the mistake of not realising this and ask to put it on your room the staff will look at you like you just asked for free food. We found the bar staff to be the only unfriendly ones in the hotel. The hotel says no sunbed reserving but the hardcore ones were out at 9am on the dot to do this. This was a funny watch from our balcony. Despite being self catering you can only eat what you buy from the hotel around the pool. I think that’s fair for meals etc but we snuck bottles of water and some Pringles from time to time ! Cake shop: I know this isn’t part of the hotel but there’s a lovely little cake shop next door. Don’t stand around waiting to be served like us ! You need to take a ticket and then they will serve you. I recommend the sour dough sandwiches which they make fresh. Old town / new town: We loved the shopping in the old town and found the vibe on the night time to be more chilled - unless you found yourself in a bar with a crazy stag do which was most. We loved that though it made for good people watching The new town was a lot more clubbing vibe and not much shopping but still great fun. Trips: We booked the caves and dolphins trip via the hotel for €70 and €18 pick up. We were really lucky to see dolphins which made it totally worth it but the caves really weren’t that interesting Nice to do something different for a day but I wouldn’t do just the cave trip. Negatives: The maids come really early (8:30-9:00) this really disturbed us on holiday. We put our red tag on the door but the vacuum is loud and you then don’t get fresh towels. As said the rooms are outdated and somethings are a little tatty like our curtains were ripped, kitchen stained and falling apart a little.
