“Excellent 5 Star Hotel”

The hotel comprises a large complex of separate apartments as well as the main building. We were allocated a room on the third floor in the main building (room 308) which had a pleasant outlook over the car park to the trees and beyond. The room had recently been refurbished to a high standard. It had a Nespresso machine with 4 refills provided daily. The bed was firm but comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the indoor pool which was free for 2 periods: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. The pool was warm like bath water. We booked half board. There was a very good choice of food at breakfast. I liked the large Nespresso machine. Evening dinner was taken at the Atlantico restaurant. Included in half board was a starter, main course, dessert and coffee. The half board option whilst expensive was cheaper than if we had visited the restaurant independently. There was a shuttle bus to the centre of Albufiera but it didn’t run very often. It was an enjoyable 3 mile walk up and down back along the coast to the hotel. The section of the walk between the Auramar hotel and Praia da Oura is difficult unless you are sure footed. Santa Eulalia is the next bay at the end of the Albufiera. Whether you can walk around to Praia Da Oura is dependent on the tide otherwise you have to divert inland. All in all, it was a lovely stay in a hotel which warranted It’s 5-star categorisation. One week B&B. Had a fabulous time. Cannot really fault the hotel. Fabulous sea view room. Beach is excellent. Hotel is an easy walk into the start of town. One week B&B. Had a fabulous time. Cannot really fault the hotel. Fabulous sea view room. Beach is excellent. Hotel is an easy walk into the start of town. Shuttle bus service a bit limited as it was out of season. We booked Ubers via the app, arrived in minutes and were cheap, typically less than 5 Euro to Old Town. Nice Italian opposite hotel entrance. If you like Indian food the excellent Clay Oven restaurant is a short ride away or walk up the strip and turn left. Grande Real is nicely situated so its just far enough away for a relaxing time with bars and restaurants close at hand. Looking forward to visiting again. Loved it !!.

“Awesome Holiday”
All staff were excellent. Restaurant and Beverage prices high compared to local restaurants. Our Villa was very clean and house staff made sure our rooms were cleaned every day.

“Did not meet expectations”
The sauna and steam room not available, also the jets not turned on for all guests. No table on the balcony.
