This is a lovely hotel, we were greeted with a drink when we arrived and were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was very much appreciated. All the staff are lovely, very professional and friendly. Swimming pool area plenty of sun beds, nice grounds. The area around is quiet with a supermarket and couple of bars, restaurants. I think that was the only thing we found we like to have a walk after our evening meal and there was no where to walk only the main rd. We walked to Olhos De Agua which is a lovely resort, if you ask at reception they will give you a map as there is a short cut to it it’s prob about a 20min walk. We also went to the Honey farm Qta Do Mel, it’s a nice walk from the hotel out in the country and they have a restaurant which is good.( especially scones with pumpkin jam) . You can also walk to Falesia beach through the Pine resort next door, they have a lift so far then a walk way to the beach. The hotel also runs a shuttle service to beach. All in all I can’t fault this hotel and hope to stay again

“Wonderful relaxing break”

Had a wonderful relaxing ten days here (which is just what we were after). Chose this as it is an adult only hotel (in the middle of the school holidays). We arrived late morning and could have paid to access our room early but we chose an upgraded room which was not ready until around 2pm - no worries we just went and had some lunch and relaxed after our journey. Our room (no 303 overlooking the pool) was lovely and plenty spacious enough for us - although some extra drawers would help. Spotlessly clean. Hotel staff were absolutely lovely - every single one of them was courteous, smiling and helpful. You never needed to reserve a sunbed as there were plenty and although the pool was a little on the cool side it was welcomed in the August heat. We upgraded to half board and I was glad of this as there were only a limited amount of restaurants nearby but a handy supermarket was in walking distance. The food was exceptional. Breakfast always plenty of choice and our evening meal again was excellent. The salad bar my absolutely favourite, although the chef would put on a special dish most evenings or you could have something simple like grilled chicken if that is all you wanted. Again plenty of choice - there was always something I could find that would tempt me. There was entertainment every night in the bar and I felt they were very good. The bar staff were very friendly and entertaining - I loved the barman who (whenever we clapped for a performer) would say 'thank you' as if we were clapping him. I know, doesn't sound much - but if he didn't do it (and he wasn't on duty for my last couple of evenings) I really missed him! I think that is what sums this hotel up for me is that they all seem like a family and I can see why people come back again and again. Apparently the hotel has had a refurbishment last year and the decor is very nice, we did mention when checking out that it really could do with a gym to work alongside the spa/beauty salon and apparently this might be in the pipeline - I do hope so. I loved the little herb/fruit garden around the back - what a great idea. The hotel lays on a shuttle to the beach and to some markets too. We did a trip to Albufeira on the shuttle - we were last in the Algarve around 40 years ago. It has changed greatly so it was good to see just how it was built up now (some good, some bad). All in all a wonderful relaxing break and a bonus that we can fly to the algarve from London City airport which is smaller and so a less stressful journey.

What an amazing place to stay! We booked 4 nights in late October via JET2, we contacted the hotel direct for an ungraded room. We had room 310 which is a Junior Suite with a garden view. The room is huge and just perfect. An enormous comfortable bed with great pillows. There's plenty of storage space, a double wardrobe, lots of drawers Dressing table with hairdryer. LCD screen TV on the wall. Down a step to the living area with settee, chairs and a table. Another LCD TV, and a bar in between both parts of the room, with kettle and tea and coffee, and fridge One litre of bottled water delivered daily. There was also fresh biscuits and a bottle of wine on arrival The balcony looks over the lovely gardens, there are two chairs and a table. The bathroom is not huge, but perfect for us. Walk in shower with great water pressure and always hot. A toilet and bidet and sink. Fresh towels daily. Bathrobes and slippers provided. Shampoo and shower gel provided, but no conditioner or body lotion The room is serviced daily, the room attendants are discreet and work hard. The room was always spotless. Reception area is bright and calm and staff are so helpful and friendly. Check in and out was a breeze, we were given a welcome drink on arrival and they offered to take our bags to our room Lifts are good, not much of a wait and easily accessed. The pool area is amazing. Loads and loads of sunbeds and parasols, dotted around the pool and the around the beautifully kept garden area too. The pool bar is great for lunch and drinks and not too pricey. Food - the buffet breakfast is so varied, there is everything that you could want. Freshly cooked omlettes every day and they even did a couple of soft boiled eggs for me. Fresh fruit and yoghurt, creamy porridge, an assortment of breads and pastries. Cheese, meats, pates. Coffee and tea from a machine which is fine, various fruit juices and some sparkling wine. Dinner at the buffet is amazing. I had some of the best shellfish that I've ever eaten. The mussels were huge and tasty. There's always specials every evening, I had the local fish stew and baked salmon. Lots of hot meat dishes, tons of vegetables and some beautiful salads. A massive assortment of desserts and cheeses too. Drinks are ordered from the waiter and brought to your table. The cocktail bar in the evening is fun. Various singers appear each night - the usual bar type singers. The bar staff are amazing, they never stop and their cocktails are great, and reasonably priced too. The spa area, downstairs, is peaceful and perfect for relaxing. Theres's a good sized heated swimming pool, a Turkish bath and a jacuzzi and lots of sunbeds. We spent a lot of time there. We also had a couples massage at the Spa which was exquisite. It is the staff that really make this place so great. All of them are friendly and always happy to go out of their way to make sure that you are having a great time. Perfection

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay here which is just what I needed. Yes the hotel is quiet and the clientele are on the older side but it didn’t bother me in the slightest. We had a junior suite on the 3rd floor and apart from a tiny hiccup with the bedding, that was put right almost immediately, it was spotless and very very spacious, with a view over the golf course next door. We never tried the indoor pool or spa but they looked fabulous. The food was lovely however, one big drawback and the reason for 4 stars not 5, is that as a nut allergy sufferer, the labelling was not always correct and whilst I am pretty vigilant at checking food, I selected a salad that was labelled as nut free, but actually had walnut halves in it. Whilst I didn’t ingest one, just the fact that they were present had contaminated the rest, making my lips start to swell and hives to occur on my lip. The restaurant and chefs etc need to be very aware that in todays climate where allergies are much more prevalent that labelling needs to be correct all the time otherwise they are going to find themselves in a situation no one wants to them to be, had anyone’s allergy been more severe than mine, then they could have been dealing with a much more serious situation that would have a massive impact on their business. Would I return? Absolutely, in fact I’m already booked in for next year as the place is fantastic and the staff cannot do enough for you all whilst being super friendly, gone for top floor suite this time!!
