This has been my 7th visit to this hotel since COVID (3rd this year) and this is my favourite holiday destination.  When I visited during Halloween Week in October 2023, the weather was wet all week. However this year, I only had a single day that was rained off and even managed a few days of pleasant sunshine. The temperature is much more manageable around Halloween week (Low 20s) than in July / August when the temperature can easily be in the mid 30s. The offerings in the main restaurant are very extensive and there is definitely choices that will be able to suit anyone’s tastes. There are also 2 additional restaurants where a booking at reception is required, these are the Oriental and Mederterain Restaurants. The Oriental Restaurant includes an extensive Sushi array, the Mederterian offers a very enjoyable Steakhouse experience. Free Bottles of water are also provided at check in and unlimited replacements can be sourced from Reception.  I book my holidays with Jet2 and shortly after arrival I received a welcome message from the Jet2 representative offering helping required. Whenever I passed through reception during the day, there was a Jet2 and TUI representative in reception helping clients. All of the Staff are very attentive and are always happy to help with any queries that may arise. The Bar staff work hard to keep everyone well hydrated and a wide selection of drinks are included as part of the All Inclusive Package.  The Animation (Entertainment) Team are amazing. The whole team (Especially Pablo 👍) work hard to make everyone’s holiday enjoyable and unforgettable. A wide Selection of activities are provided daily that keep Adults, Teens and Kids entertained all day. These activities are a brilliant way to meet fellow travellers and really help to break up the day. Evening shows are amazing and are truly comedy gold. Adriana does an amazing job at running these shows.  The hotel is set in the small village of Olhos D’Aqua. The transfer time from Faro Airport is approximately 30 minutes. There are a number of local beaches within walking distance from the hotel. Local Bars are also worth exploring ! The Town of Albufeira is approximately 5km away and there are many buses that run here and is definitely worth exploring. There is an Old Town and a number of nightclubs depending on preferences. It is possible to walk/ run to Albufeira very easily from the hotel. In the opposite direction, Vilamoura marina is a quick 10 minute Uber ride away. Here you can find a number of Shops and Restaurants whilst overlooking the Super Yachts. (For the fitness enthusiasts, it is possible to run / walk along the beach to Vilamoura - the distance along the beach is around 7km). The day of my departure was the day that the hotel closed for the 2024 season and all the staff were looking to a much deserved rest. Definitely returning multiple times next year !

Hotel was well clean and maintained . You could see the cleaners all day cleaning around the hotel . Food was good . Hotel was well clean and maintained . You could see the cleaners all day cleaning around the hotel . Food was good . As I couldn’t eat any meat ( I can only eat halal ) there was not much variety for me . So I only ate the salads which was a good variety . Since it was October didn’t use the outside pools because was too cold . I didn’t find where the gym was so cannot review that . Workers at the hotel were all polite . Many don’t know English but were still polite . One thing I didn’t like was that there was nothing to do or go to nearby . Only the beach which took about 10 minutes walking. To get too. There were only a couple of shops across the road . They were places to eat . ( halal shop across the road ) The bus stop was across the road around the corner . We caught 6 to albuferua and 9 to Vilamoura and faro . For Lagos we took number from outside the hotel to Albuferua bus station then from there number 51 to Lagos . The bus drivers only take cash no card . The hotels entertainment was really for children , I felt it was not for adults . There was no cinema room which was ashame. It was rising one day so there was nothing fir us to do at all except to sit in our room or in the lounge area . We couldn’t go out either it was 1 st November a holiday for the Poeple in Portugal . So not many buses working to go out .

We have just came back from a week long stay at the 3HB Guarana. After a hectic time getting through Passport Control at Faro Airport, and an hour long transfer, we checked in. Our room was ready and waiting to our surprise, as check-in is usually at 16.00hrs. We were a bit disappointed getting a room next to the lift, which we thought could be a bit noisy at times, but we never heard anything all week. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable, but you only have one flat pillow. Room service was excellent, and we had clean towels every day. The Restaurant at the start of our stay was hectic to say the least. Once you checked in at the entrance you were shown to your table, this is a good idea. Food was good with plenty of choices. The down side was that because it was so busy, children were often running amok. On one occasion I had a mousse dropped off a plate which spilt the mousse all over my shoes. As the week unfolded it got quieter, but the almost feral children didn't. There's almost nothing to do for much of the day, unless you play darts or bingo ( one card, one line and a full house....that's it....over in 10 minutes!! ). Evening started with the children's entertainment, which was Halloween themed. To be honest we were getting a bit fed up of the week long Halloween experience. The children were still running amok, running around the tables and chairs till well into the evening. Parents simply not bothered. Evening entertainment, when it came on after 9, was good. The bar was well stocked, but with only local Beers, Wines and Spirits. There was plenty of staff so you didn't wait long. We appreciate that this is a family hotel, so if you want a bit more peace and quiet, there are other excellent hotels nearby like the Patio Suite, and the AP Adriana. What I've written is our experience, and our views. But this doesn't take away the excellent service and cleanliness of this hotel. For us it was the wrong choice.

Rooms basic but adequate large bathroom with bath and shower combined. Main bar to be desired a mini theatre . With queues to be served at the bar. No waiter service.Two a la carte restaurants closed only the buffet restaurant. Breakfast adequate lunch and dinner very poor standard of food . Constantly Cold . Nice touch where you could serve yourself beer and wine through taps . Pool area nice sunbeds plentiful. Would I stay here again probably not unless they addressed those issues
