“Great location and nice staff but we wouldn’t return”

Okay so upon arrival , the hotel seems in a bit of a dingy street with several beggars sitting around the front and we initially wanted to leave. However by day 3 we realised the location is the perfect base to see and do everything we wanted while on our 11 day trip over Christmas and new year. Breakfast is basic , omelettes , pancakes , waffles and some cakes and pastries , the cooked options seemed unusual but nothing was bad. Fresh fruit juices and great coffee and tea options. Could do with some more cheese and meat options for continental but we stuck to the omelettes and pastries and that was sufficient . If you do want to go out for breakfast walk out left of the hotel and take the right at the top of the road - plenty more options within 5 minutes away from the busy prom. The hotel is easy walking distance to the bus station where we got the number 5 bus to the soul al haad and a bus to taghazout (l32 or l33 takes you there through tamraght in around 25 mins) 2 buses an hour , It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and around 10 mins to the marina. There’s a huge carrefour 25 mins away selling everything including alcohol in a section downstairs . We ate the buffet dinner once and it was 320 dh and as a family we all found something to eat. The fresh orange juice at the bar is great and the beers are fine , there’s a decent red wine option but id avoid any spirits as they have all tasted weirdly diluted to me . The staff are friendly and the hotel is immaculate, our balcony doors don’t shut right but as our child is older it’s not been a problem. The air conditioning isn’t cold so I think we would really struggle here in the summer. We are at a pool facing room and the view is amazing onto the Kasbah but the noise is really disturbing, lots of people shouting and dogs barking and the road can be really noisy so I think as the doors don’t shut right this has really disturbed us trying to sleep. It’s a great base to get out and explore and I think you’d struggle to find a better location but for us we wouldn’t return purely because we like a good nights sleep and we love a balcony with chairs to sit on and we didn’t have either . The view is great mind you and the mini market next door is really handy.

“Kammal is the MAN”

Hotel was lovely, staff were friendly and accommodating. Kammal is the guy if youre looking for experiences, dont book with the hotel, you will pay double. Just across the road is Kammal’s office, he’s amazing and will help you with your everything.

Generally the hotel was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the place was immacuately clean. Visited over Christmas - I know its a Muslim county and did not expect theer to be much fuss made over Christmas but there was nothing, just a tree in the reception area, I thought there might have been a little entertainment as it was full of Europeans, this is just an observation not a complain as I am not a Christmasy type person. Now for the not so good things:- The food I tried was breakfast and a a couple of time I had dinner - breakfast is the same very day and the quality shall we say is not good, you had to be in very early to get orange juice or they would run out, I like the mint tea but in the hotel it tasted just like dishwater with hardly a hint of mint. The dinner I had in the hotel were to be honest awful all moroccian with nothing internation - again not a problem to me but may be to some people and quality not good. The inside bar was not open only possible to get a drink with a meal. The room I had was on the front of the Hotel which tends to get very noisy just to people in the street taling and shout to the eraly hours. Last and problen the worst problem, when i got home I started to sufeer with little red spots on my legs and they itched like hell - a quick trip to the GP and they asked me if I had bee sleeping in a different bed, turns out I have been eaten alive by bed bugs !!! Sound like I am moaning a lot but the staff's helpfulness did make up for the problems. Also not thta the hotel is next to another hotel which I am told has a night clubs which closed late and is quite noisy in the high sean - I did not experience this though
