Today is my last day just away to get our transfer. Reading some reviews we were unsure what to expect but once arriving I don’t know why people complain 1- porters take you bag to the rooms 2- our room was amazing. Massive room and bathroom. Very clean 3- there is a towel service at pool area. 4- main restaurant had so many options and everyday was different 5- there are another 2 restaurants at hotel that are included in the all inclusive,you just need to book 6- and the entertainment was fabulous. We stayed at hotel every nite as didn’t want to miss a show. And the team for during the day were such a good laugh and interacted with everyone.

“A holiday in the Moroccan heat.”

All in all, I was satisfied with the hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, right on the ocean beach. Breakfast was good, lunch and dinner mediocre. All in all, I was satisfied with the hotel. The location of the hotel is very good, right on the ocean beach. Breakfast was good, lunch and dinner mediocre. What was a big drawback, the air conditioner wasn't on the level. There was no heating in the pool, and even for me as a Northerner it was too cold to use it. Since the ocean water temperature was appropriate, there was no problem with the pool. And, of course, the whole staff - I have not experienced such an attentive and friendly attitude before. A small recommendation - if you buy a tour of the hotel, be sure that the bus has a working air conditioner.

First time in Morocco in November 2024 for my husband and i and although we had a nice holiday we probably would not go back. We stayed at the Royal Decameron Tafoukt Beach Hotel. Location is fantastic, beautiful extremely long sandy beach across the promenade from the hotel with a cordoned off area for the hotels guests, street traders do not cross the cordoned off area so we had hassle free days sunbathing. The hotel itself is nothing special but serves decent enough food and drinks with the " all inclusive package". Very generous with the wine at dinner and lunch, if you ask for a glass you get a bottle served to your table and if you finish the bottle another is available should you want it. Free bottled water also at breakfast lunch and dinner so we did not have to buy water the whole week that we were there. We were extremely lucky with the weather in November, highs of 31 degrees and lows of 26 degrees for the whole week. We were given a terrible room on the first night, room 614 which was right above a row of shops to the side of the hotel ( although there is a sea view). Small tired room with a very grubby bathroom with no windows, however for those who like a bath there was one with overhead shower. Kettle in that room which did not work. small fridge, huge wardrobes with plenty space for your belongings and a safe. Noise was so bad first night that we asked for a change of room first thing next morning. No hassle at all with room change from receptionist. We were shown another room in the same block number 645, much better room but still tired looking,bathroom grubby again, broken wardrobe doors which we had to get fixed as door completely fell off on first night. Bigger bathroom with two windows, 2 balconies, one had sunbeds on it and a view of the entertainment area. Kettle in this room worked. Beds were made up every day and towels changed. No noise in that room, it was on 3rd floor but same side view as our first room had just further away from shops. There was entertainment every night but catered more to the French guests. We booked excursions with the man in the hotel, Camel ride with bbq in the evening which we loved but you are riding the camel for an hour. It is not in the desert it is in a dirt track area with trees and farm animals around, you end up at a river to watch the sunset however we were there on a cloudy evening so no sunset to be seen. BBq was basic but tbh the camel ride with the bbq for the money we paid was worth it. Croc park is another place we went to, honestly must be hundreds of crocodiles of all sizes there, few snakes lizards and giant tortoises as well as small caged monkeys, it was worth the 30 min car journey to see the crocodiles up close. Other trip was a city tour and cable car ride, don't do this trip, boring, not enough to see in the city, a visit to an argan oil factory and an outside view and commentary about the city's largest mosque , a half hour stop at a huge souk but half an hour definitely not enough time to see the 300 stalls. Go instead on the cable car ride without the tour. Beautiful views, small stalls at the top selling souvenirs and camel rides galore, also Kasbah to visit. There are plenty shops around the hotel but they are all in the souk, beware however, they do hassle you, you have to be firm and they do over price their merchandise , we were buying a number of items at the one time and it was not until we were back in our hotel that we realised that we had paid £36 for 4 tea towels, so if your are buying a few things at the same time please have your wits about you regarding what you are being charged. There is a pizza hut, mcdonalds and kfc right beside the hotel too, always a bonus as all inclusive food can become repetitive . There are 2 other restaurants within the hotel grounds which you are allowed to book once a week for each and once for lunch, we tried them both, food very nice but small portions and they are not generous with the wine, you can not order spirits here. If we were going back to Agadir we would probably go back to the Decameron as although there were a lot of negatives there were a lot of positives too and on hearing from other tourists whilst we were there i think that we were actually fairly lucky with this hotel, especially for location.
