“Congenial in Campeche”

Centrally located, pleasant in a traditional way. The furnishings are fairly simple, and the rooms, while comfortable, would benefit from some updating. Centrally located, pleasant in a traditional way. The furnishings are fairly simple, and the rooms, while comfortable, would benefit from some updating. Everything works though, so no big deal - an exception is the internet wifi, which we found only worked satisfactorily down in the lobby. Nice breakfast, and helpful staff. The bed was not very comfortable, but all in all it is a safe choice.

Although it's not the responsibility of the hotel for outside music, they must know that the sound comes right through the walls since they are located at the corner of the public plaza. Although it's not the responsibility of the hotel for outside music, they must know that the sound comes right through the walls since they are located at the corner of the public plaza. That said, the location is 2 blocks to the main cathedral and 2 blocks to the sea so you decide. Breakfast is available (not included), grocery store stuff generally or you can buy the 2nd level with eggs. The pool area is modest and water VERY cold in winter in spite of warm daytime temps. We bought a corner suite and the room was spacious, attractive and clean. The bed was pretty awful for comfort. We had balconies on two sides, enjoyed the views and the breeze. Shower was good and the staff was nice with limited English. You need to request a hair dryer for your room at check in. Overall, a fair deal for your money but I'd pick a place where I could sleep better next time.

“needs updating until we revisit..”

have been a client client to this hotel for the last 12 years. Just spent 2 night , 3 room last week end. Was nice 12 years ago but the lack of serious maintenance and lack of updating have seriously hurt the quality of acomodations , specially bathrooms !
